Is chihayafuru being funded again by the good graces of the tv studio like the last two seasons? Its like the only thing I'm pretty sure its going to be good. I dont know enough about the Beastars studio to know if its going to be good and all that 3d just doesn't look good to me. No guns might be good? Maybe this years Gundam will actually be good but things look extremely grim

I was curious and they were translated so I read a couple of chapters of XL Joushi and it was pretty funny. If it's lighthearted romcom with sex vs just being porny it could be entertaining but I've never watched any of those smut josei shows so idk how they handle it. It's likely that you're better off just reading the manga tho.

Beastars studio (Orange) did Houseki no Kuni, probably the best looking TV CG Anime, so I have faith that it'll look good at the very least. As far as non sequels go, a lot of these trailers/descriptions didn't sell me on them, so I'll have to wait for the shows to air and gauge based on mine and other's observations.

This is one of those seasons where there's a whole hell of a lot of "maybes" and very little in the way of "Hell yeah" Hell yeah: FGO Babylonia (the prelude episode was pretty good. Shows I want to check out: Beastars, Houkago Saikoro Club, Null Peta, Kabukichou Sherlock, Kandagawa Jet Girls, Tokunana, Iruma-kun, No Guns Life, Pet. I'll definitely watch chihayafuru s3 at some point. And Ani Tsukeru s1 was good, but haven't gotten to 2 yet, so 3 will also be on the backburner.

Actors: Songs Connection looks like some weird  idol boy crossing. Huh. Might give it a chance.BokuBen 2 is on my to watch list since it was announced. Same with Chihayafuru 3. And Houkago Saikoro Club. For some reason I didn't finish Koto Oto Tomare S1, I should do that since I kinda liked it, and then watch S2 too. Might give the Kandagawa Jet Girls a chance. Going to continue watching SAO Alicization. Might try to catch some of the movies in the theater if they run while I visit Japan.

Excited for: HeroAca 4 Black Fox Fragtime Expect to enjoy: Vinland Saga (ongoing) Rifle Is Beautiful Board Game Club Will try: Average Next Life Jet Girls Not a crazy super loaded season, but there's stuff there. Hopefully Fragtime does like the Kase-san OVA did and sells BDs at the theater showings so we'll have a reasonable shot at timely fansubs, I've been really impressed with those PVs.

I am unreasonably hyped for Chihayafuru 3! I'll give the Sherlock show and Iruma-kun a shot. Really not sure about anything else, though I should absolutely watch the first seasons for Hi Score Girl and Dr Stone because I'm pretty sure I'll like both.

So I think the hope is to do like Girls Und Panzer or the upcoming Princess Principal stuff and do a series of OVAs, but the rest of the project has yet to be greenlit.

I really hope Babylon turns out to be a nice, normal political conspiracy show and doesn't throw supernatural elements in there. Manga tags for it are nonexistent on mangaupdates or mangadex.
