STATUS PHASE 4 CONT.

Imhotep is overthrown! Cleopatra rises to rule Egypt!

Everyone may raze a size 1 city or retire their current leader.
Everyone draws new Action and Objective cards.
Persia leads in Mood and Culture, and becomes the first player.

This is kind of an interesting situation, and one that I haven't seen before. The specific wording on the Great Diplomat was 'you may not attack that person for the rest of this turn, and that person may not attack you on their next turn'. Egypt has yet to have its next turn - but Persia is freed of its obligations and can fire away. So much for jus ad bellum. (Of course, you can still defend...)

Also, these are the penultimate Objective and Actions cards you'll gain automatically, Writing+Gov't aside - you'll get one more of each in Status Phase 5.

I didn't see anything in the condensed rules about limits on cultural influence. I easily could have missed it.

Yes, that's correct. Cities being angry only affects things that activate a city - Cultural Influence can be boosted in all cases. (I went and checked the actual rules, just to be sure.)

Sorry for the delay on my end as well - work's been rather hectic. I've just checked and it's a Market being built in that middle step - however, I've also only just spotted that that's 4 actions (China only gets to free-move its Settlers on build). I've pinged StashAugustine to check whether there's a card involved or if one of the actions should be taken back.

No, you don't need to spend another action. The troop appears immediately after the battle, and you still have two moves left.

Wait when did I gain the settler in branch? sorry I've been a bit out of it wrt to this game and I literally cannot remember when that settler go there, but any turn it has been should have granted me an extra gold from trade routes.
