big sur upgrade killed my internet connection and a few other folks i know as well. it seems like some sort of background service is loving things up somehow... if I reboot with Safari open, it will load the page I was last trying to load before the reboot. After that, trying to load any other page, or reload that page, will fail. connected to wifi, but same result with wired connection. cant ping gateway, local dns server, anything external. dns lookups fail.

tried removing my networks, tried a hotspot, tried NVRAM/SMC reset, tried USB hard wired ethernet dongle, tried removing com.apple.airport.preferences.plist, com.apple.wifi.message-tracer.plist, NetworkInterfaces.plist, and preferences.plist, can't find anything very useful in Console, internet does work in Safe Mode. struggling to figure out how to debug at this point. other devices on the same network are fine, as was this one before the upgrade. any ideas?
