My sister has a bichon, and it is one of the best dogs I've ever met. If you sit on the couch, it hops up and cuddles you for pets. Its old, but in 15 years I can't remember ever hearing it bark.

Blame the owner, not the dog.

I don't recall the breed, but wasn't there something about Chinese emperors have a whole slew of small barky dogs specifically trained to bark at every goddamn thing?
