Update 7 - We must kill the Peimann

Once more, the British stall themselves by choosing to ally with their worst enemy.

As well as fighting the Russians some more.

200+ more troops for my armies? Don't mind if I do!

General Bellegarde (Ignatius M. Meen) with the strat to capture over half the enemy forces.

Then adds the Grand Vizier to his list of capturees.

The Prince of Piedmont (Sally) wants in on the glory, taking a fortified territory. I couldn't attack again or else I would've run out the enemy from those mountains.

General Gyulai attacks with what appeared to be a great decision, the game thought otherwise. A follow-up attack claims the territory in South-East France.

Despite being repulsed, General Alvintzi gets a clean kill against Stuart.

No contest :smuggo:

We're doing extremely well this turn, on all fronts so far.

Even securing Baden, almost nabbing Germany for Austria.

6 cards, guess I have to turn in another set next turn. (Thanks, Ottomans!)

Hehehehe.

The Ottomans are overloaded over here, and are losing lots of troops easily as a result.

Two success and two defeats for the French. I haven't overextended, but its getting a little tense.

Nothing going right for the Ottomans this turn.

Lol. Also, the Rebels were successful. One of the few times a low troop count Rebel army captures another territory.

84 more troops, the White spaces are starting to spread a lot faster. I'm close to getting at least 2 more countries/regions for bonus troops.

Get your poo poo together, Russia, god drat.

FINE, I DON'T NEED FRIENDS ANYWAYS!

You know the deal.

Just casually getting new generals and having almost all of them with 100+ troops...

Alvintzi couldn't attack a second time, causing me some headaches further down the line...

4 fights, but General Radetsky (Tatters) with the 3 territorial captures. I was worried as the last two were against "Assault in the Centre" and the first time around went poorly...

General Gyulai (Veloxyll) securing Northern Italy for Austria.

The Prince of Darkness (Sally) eliminating the Ottomans in the mountains, and securing the center.

General Ocksay (New Hire) descends into Greece in a most bumpy fashion.

Crimea is ours! (Now Austrian Territory Officially)

Things have been going well enough that its time for Peimann to die.

Absolute bullshit. That's the entire point of feigned withdrawal!

Back to 4 cards, gonna be another turn in next turn, methinks.

I forget if the PoWs have a maximum or if the game just doesn't add a 2nd line because "Why wouldn't the player want his biggest enemy to just have 100 free troops and potentially attack first?"

You don't see the thinking bar fill up often. They're in a pickle.

The lack of distance last turn means the French get some easy captures, but not enough to truly ruin things.

I was afraid of this...

Scouted.

Thank you, Russia.

And one more loss for good measure. :(

This should have decimated the Ottomans, they got off extremely lucky here.

:aaaaa:

Downloaded, and deleted.

Good, keep fighting.

Loss of 12 troop bonus from Austria being felt immediately.

:ohdear:

BULLSHIT. General Peimann is full of horseshit.

*gnashing of teeth dot wav* He only lost 3 to that.

Alright, can't keep losing, right? Right?

:bang: See earlier call of Bullshit. Peimann is cheating.

More losses. That's 4 different territories to 1 General.

Okay, listen here you little poo poo...

I'm not having it anymore.

Dead. To. Rights. There's no loving WAY this could

WHERE'S THE REGEDIT FILE?! I'M DELETING THIS GUY FROM THE GAME.

Breathing techniques, waterfall, lavender.

4 to 1 odds, gonna use a cheeky Cav Assault.

I still don't agree with this. Both in favor for me and Peiman.

Bonaparte? BONAPARTE?!

God damnit Bellegarde... At this point we should just exchange command staffs with all the captured Generals we have.

Wait we could still attack, AND we're now at Russia's capital!?

poo poo.

This one made me nervous; add another General to the pile!

I'm starting to question if Feigned Withdrawal has worked even ONCE for me this LP...

A series of attacks from Paris chain themselves into Holland and up the coast.

5 captured Generals, some 250+, at least, troops captured, another god knows how many to be redeployed next turn...

Oh? I guess this means...

Yup! (Check that last one, Feigned Withdrawal, no losses EXCEPT the General. Christ)

Dang... well, we're still close!

The noose is tightening. :ohdear: And then Russia stops attacking!

Not cool, game.

*hand-wringing commences*

IGNORE ME!

Why did I keep trying this?

Thank Christ.

Now to chase the General until he DIES.

GOOD. Bury him in a ditch somewhere.

The Dork of Princes (Sally) continues to secure more Russian territory.

Moment of truth, and against the Czar, no less!

We run an efficient Catch & Release program.

:yeshaha:

Greece is ours!

Rescued a poo poo ton of prisoners AND 7 cards now!

The lowest stakes, and annoyingly the French General won in the end.

Elsewhere.

Bonaparte the 36th capturing the Arab capital the Ottomans captured some time back.

I needed that guffaw.

The Ottomans squabble with the French some more.

And the Britain get a dig in.

State of the board.

It took Peiman cheating to finally make me definitively lose a battle. It's been an honor cutting swathes through French territory.

Update 8 - Bold Moves, Dead Generals

Trade in cards; deploy more men.

A good start from General Pittoni (Rocket Baby Dolls), but not being able to follow it up with a second attack sucks...

The Marquis (dervinosdoom) enters the Russian exchange program. (Under questionable circumstances, I must add!)

The Prince of Piedmont, on the other hand, succeeds with his tactics, but is also prevented from further attacks.

General Banchi goes hog wild and reclaims Germany for Austria.

Prince of Coburg (FoolyCharged) with the straightforward tactics.

You guys have bad tactics. :sigh:

General Von Wimpffen (Jossar) secures Northern Italy for Austria.

General Alvintzi with a standard attack, seizing more coastal land.

General Ende (Neurion) with a near 1-1 trade, I thought this would go much worse.

It took 4 total attacks from 2 separate territories to beat this.

General Ocksay attacks into southwestern Turkey, gets a good kill on the Ottoman General.

Then continues a string of victories towards Constantinople, before dying to a worthless attack against a fleeing foe.

5 cards in our possession, might have trade some in next turn.

No bonuses for Germany today.

Smelling blood in the water, the French also strike. Combined with the loss of multiple Generals, this'll be a pain to contain.

So many POWs from losing Generals.

You'll regret this!

260 more units, but note the lack of available Generals. That's a deficit that can be hard to overcome, because you'll never get to have large stacks.

Setup!

Punchline.

General Banchi just being a dick with this one.

Just gonna set up this other encirclement for easy captures and

'course. :bang:

I'm tired of seeing this stronghold exist, so lets rid ourselves of it.

I'm calling bullshit...

Getting rid of the French salient. Oh, am I planning something?

Getting a little cheeky.

General Von Wimpffen takes Provence, but is also limited to no longer attacking, and I have to hope the French stay calm in Italy.

General Pittoni, rank 4, just going to clear a fort and encircle more Russians.

What the hell kind of death wish do our Generals have?!

3 cards, controlling territory in the UK, compressing the French forces (where possible). Not sure how the Arab Alliance has survived this long now that I look at it

The Ottomans wipe out our gains here, though it does cost them.

Got very lucky here.

Losing ground to the French, ugh!

Almost 300 from dead Generals alone!

There is a God.

NATO loses ground in the Crimean. We'll be back soon enough.

Brits being jerks, I'll be attacking this flank sooner rather than later.

:ohdear:

Hooray!! A General that can't retreat to an adjacent territory sans General is dismissed.

I'll take what I can get. At least its more captured I can withhold from the French.

General Ferrari attacks into his native land, nabbing two important territories.

General Von Wimpffen joins in, luckily doesn't die from this, but can't follow it up with further attacks.

Oops, did I do that?

An imposter General emerges near Greece, beats on the Turks.

General Beker (New Hire) secures some territory to the south of Moscow.

General Banchi with another victory under their belt.

Converted all of the British captives...

And 8 cards :smuggo:

The French go first, taking over a few territories.

I still don't get how this works, but at least its the French.

Damnit. Also :rip:

The French are poised to attack north and spoil my reinforcement bonuses again.

Huh? :piss:

Doesn't prevent the attacks up north though :(

Someone has NOT been paying attention to the Paris situation...

Damnit random!

Russia offered me three turns and then did nothing against anyone else. Two turns with the Ottomans is just breathing room for...

578 troops

Annoyingly, my Paris garrison couldn't sally forth a second time, so I will be expecting some territorial losses in the Benelux area. Did manage to defeat the rebels on top of all that though.

General Molitor (New Hire) pushing south.

I think the French know what Von Wimpffen's tactic is.

Northern Italy secured once more.

General Alvintzi with the right hook supremacy.

How to stall out spearheads - lose so many troops to leaving garrisons behind.

:wow: I finally got the bonus for Germany/Austria/Prussia.

Rats.

French being asses again.

Thanks Russia!

Ugh.

Maybe if you didn't take my territories I'd consider it.

Everyone Loves Ottomans.

You saw that one coming, huh?

Might as well make progress here.

Minor heart attack avoided!

Didn't expect this one to turn out so well, but I'll take it! The French are no longer a threat in the backline (Again!)

Two attacks later, and we've surrounded the Brits in Germany. I was a little worried General Banchi wouldn't make it.

One more sucker punch right!

:negative:

That shouldn't have worked.

Another set ready if I want it, getting close to 300 troops per turn in.

Why, game?! What did I do to you?

Of things to come...

Update 9: Working during a Pandemic sucks, and other LP problems

General Banchi [ChocolatePancake] opens up with the random chance Assault in the Center. I was nervous about this one!

And southwest England is cleared of the French. The Brits should be greatful!

And General Otto takes out the annoying little enclave in Rome.

While General Molitor pushes down towards Sicily. The sea lanes are the dangerous parts of the map here, and I want to have strong presences at each to prevent a breakout.

Meanwhile, General Quasdanovitch (the 2nd) sweeps through Turkey, attacking in ways to maximize losses on retreat.

General Wimpffen makes his move...

Ok, I'm not too surprised to have not won, but "Attacker Repulsed"?! Come on :(

So much Austrian territory; so many prisoners.

You can't protect yourself everywhere.

Oh hell yeah, random card saves the da~

Calling some mighty BS here.

:argh: Cut all the way into Austria and nullifying a lot of my bonus reinforcements!

The French think that makes me want to exchange prisoners MORE and not LESS. Elsewhere, a brazen attempt at recapturing portions of Turkey ends in disaster for the Ottomans.

The British attack with a General for an easy card, then immediately lose him to an avalanche.

This is why you always have 2 or 3 troops per territory. Not only is it disruptive against an enemy that tries to penetrate your lines, but it prevents rebellions from forming.

I lose a neighbouring province and a General appears.

HAH! No way, Francais!

:argh: Pick on someone your own size!

I would also hate to be the French under these circumstances...

Up to 306 now!

It takes two fights before we take Sardinia. The French have now lost both their homes!

And now Sicily.

Prince of Saxony reclaims lost territory in Bulgaria.

A newly reinforced army immediately loses its General :sigh:

While Archduke Ferdinand redeems the Austrian invasion force.

General Davidovish takes over another French territory in Russia/the Baltics. [Note: Prussia/Germany/Austria cleared of French invaders]

Advancing into northern Denmark

Uhh... huh. I disagree.

Lots of fighting occurs in France; General Langeron adds another victory to his name.

More map control, another set I can exchange should I want to, and plenty of prisoners just waiting to be converted.

One has to wonder how this keeps happening and what either command structure looks like with all these results.

:owned:

:argh:

So many bonuses!

Pesky British are attacking my territories again!

Trust the rando! Live by the rando!

Wait, no! poo poo. :(

I agree to a prisoner exchange with the English. It shouldn't come back to bite me in the rear end.

Twice in a row, the rando hates the Ottomans.

Eh, sure.

Not much I can do here, but at least I'm softening up this army for the counter-attack later.

Securing the borders. Soon, I'll be able to strike down towards the middle east.

The Archduke with another win. I'm glad the British didn't defend the left flank.

Sadly, I couldn't attack further!

Uh-oh...

You should have died Banchi! :bang:

Pushing into Scotland, easily sweeping the enemy aside!

General Otto secures yet another island, and another General is added to our list of prison inmates.

:what: Thanks game. Thanks.

Breaking into Spain.

We take over mainland Greece, and attack into Tekke. (Winning that combat)

General Quasdanovitch with the risky move into mountainous terrain. Let's see if it pays off for him.

Absolutely ridiculous. If you attack the flanks, you die. If you conservatively attack the center, you die.

The attack on Crete goes well, but only because French leadership is found dead in the mud and the remaining forces drop to a third of their strength.

Crete taken, I move to Libya. I didn't get the results from this one, oddly. The Austrians lost. Somehow.

Oh you know this one was frustrating to watch!

Only some prisoner exchanges are agreed to.

:sigh:

273(!) from dead/captured Generals and prisoner exchanges. :eyepop:

Don't worry though, I will need Generals. Please assign the following traits to your General.
