right now my grade for the draft is sitting at 97.84%, so we're on pace for an A grade with a small chance of reaching an A+. i only give out A+ at 98%. if that sounds harsh, many other draft grading experts are of the belief that you're a regular A until 100%, and they've never given out an A+ at all.

Colts picks:

4) Bryce Young, QB, Alabama
35) Cam Smith, CB, South Carolina
79) Emil Ekiyor Jr, OG, Alabama
106) Tyler Scott, WR, Cincinnati

I was pretty happy to get Bryce with my first pick. My preferred QB in this draft class is Stroud, but I think Bryce has real potential to be a quality NFL QB and I'm pleased to have avoided the Levis-Richardson debate. Second-rounder was kind of a blind panic pick at a position of great need. Third round feels like the right time to take a flyer on a Bama OL, especially since he's shown to be at least somewhat capable of keeping my tiny new QB alive. And I think Scott in the fourth is my steal of the draft, he'll look great lining up in the slot while his old college teammate Alec Pierce handles the outside.

23) Minnesota vikings Darth Brooks Trenton Simpson, LB, Clemson
87) Minnesota vikings Darth Brooks Byron Young, DE, Tennessee
119) Minnesota vikings (from Detroit) Darth Brooks Riley Moss, CB, Iowa

I imagine that Kwesi will trade down for more picks. He did that last year and it makes sense again. This draft is about adding some speed to the defense, which lost some veteran players. Brian Flores should make a world of difference from what was before. Cline and Booth should be able to contribute and that will help too. If a solid QB drops in their lap Minnesota should jump on them. If so, this becomes a rebuilding year.

Here's what I picked for the Cardinals:

3) Jalen Carter, DT, Georgia
34) Calijah Kancey, DT, Pittsburgh
66) Luke Wypler, OL, The Ohio State University
105) Devon Achane, RB, Texas A&M

CB was a big glaring need that I neglected, but the Cardinals are such a shitheap that I was going to go what I thought was BPA regardless. I feel pretty good about the fits for Gannon's scheme, I was a little apprehensive about what I didn't know about the Cardinals offense, I guess we won't really know until camp/preseason/etc.

Gave Trevor the most complete TE since he liked Engram so much and hopefully a good change of pace running back in the 4th. I expected White to go in the 40s but think he could help them. Took a shot at OT and CB since that was listed as a need.

I'm happy enough with how it went, probably addressed the biggest needs in the roster. The Chiefs would probably turn to a veteran D-lineman like Clark or Dunlap to fill out the rotation for a year. Would leave RB and DB depth as the biggest targets for Rounds 5-7, which works for me.
