DO NOT JOIN YET IF YOU ARE PLAYING AS A CAMPER! But we welcome Watchers to join now. The Setting: Eighteen lucky campers will have the opportunity to attend Camp Cryptid Lake! This picturesque summer camp is in the middle of a lush green forest, surrounded by mountains, and features the crystal clear waters of Cryptid Lake. Campers will enjoy an assortment of indoor and outdoor activities. They will create friendships and memories that will last them a lifetime. Oh also there may or may not be a murderer on the loose, but don’t worry about that. Campers will be placed in one of three starting cabins. Within their cabins, campers are free to communicate with whomever they choose. During specific times in the game, campers will also be able to communicate freely with each other around The Campfire. We’re all here to make friends! (and maybe also get murdered) On Mondays and Wednesdays at 8:00 pm CDT, the cabins will compete in a Cabin Challenge. These challenges may require skill, teamwork, and communication. The first and second place cabins get to celebrate and take the next day off! But the cabin who performs worst at the Cabin Challenge faces a terrible predicament… The murderer who stalks the grounds of Camp Cryptid Lake is constantly looking for their next victim. Every Tuesday and Thursday at 8:00 pm CDT, they choose one cabin to attack (the cabin who lost the previous night’s Cabin Challenge). The Chosen cabin must now compete in a Scramble with deadly stakes. These cabinmates now must face off against each other, and the weakest is MURDERED. Once a camper has been murdered, they become a Ghost and move to the Afterlife. From the Afterlife, Ghosts can continue to affect the game. They can bestow blessings or curses upon individual players and help shape the outcome of certain challenges. Logistics: This game will be run almost entirely over Discord. Some specific Challenges or Scrambles may require certain third party resources/websites. No actual gameplay will take place here in this thread, but we will try to keep it updated with the story unfolding over the course of the game. Not all the players are goons. All game events will take place in Central Daylight Time, UTC-05:00. Camp has officially begun! All eighteen Campers gathered around the campfire, their faces illuminated by the flickering light. Soon the time came to assign the eager Campers into their Cabins! There are three Cabins at Camp Cryptid Lake: Bigfoot Cabin, Mothman Cabin, and Jersey Devil Cabin. Each Cabin has bunks for six Campers inside. Cabinmates are the teams in this game. They will work with together, rely on each other, trust each other. They may be the difference between life and death. There will be many opportunities in this game for the Cabin Rosters to change. Campers may want to make their Cabin as strong as possible, to win Camp Challenges. Or they could make their Cabin as weak as possible, to give themselves a better shot at Scrambles. Their fate is in their own hands. Once the Campers were sorted into Cabins, they had the opportunity to form Blanket Forts with any combinations of their Cabinmates inside. There are unlimited blankies at Camp Cryptid Lake for unlimited Blanket Forts, but who's to say how many have been formed already... The Campers of Camp Cryptid Lake competed in their first challenge: a grueling Relay Race. Every Camper competed with speed, skill, and stamina. They were resourceful and creative and competed their hearts out! In First Place was Mothman Cabin, who employed a careful strategy and excellent teamwork. In Second Place was Jersey Devil Cabin, whose scattershot approach somehow managed to work in their favor. In Third Place was Bigfoot Cabin, who also exercised careful teamwork and strategy, but couldn’t quite keep up with the other cabins. Mothman and Jersey Devil Campers return to their bunks, laughing and joking along the way. They talk late into the night with all the lights on, which scares off any potential dangers that might be lurking in the woods. Meanwhile Bigfoot Campers return to their bunk with their heads hung low. They go straight to bed and turn off all the lights, leaving themselves extremely vulnerable… The Campers of Bigfoot Cabin will be competing in a Scramble tomorrow at 8:00pm CDT
