STOP DOING HEROIN
The Giants outscored the Arizona Cardinals 31-8 in the second half of their big comeback win.

They've been outscored 90-12 in the other 10 quarters they've played this year.

Vote 5 stars for the thread title.

This wasn't too bad of a TNF game, even if Purdy looked off. 49ers need to adjust a tad more when it comes to blitzes. Otherwise happy with the win.

CMC and Deebo are god like.

edit: yeah honestly the giants defense was nothing to sneeze at. Also McFadden was all over the place.

eh, Giants defense needs a ton of work, and they gave up a lot of yards on screen and short passes, especially in the first half.

i'm not sure there are many qb or rb who could do much behind the giants' o-line. i don't think daniel jones is as bad as most people think, but he's average at best and behind an o-line like that he's flat out awful.

better hope that o-line comes back soon.

IMO that was less about the Giants looking terrible and more about the 49ers just looking really strong. There's really no flaws for the 49ers, and the Giants right now are flawed, so the results were never in doubt. But as far as 18 point losses go, I've seen worse.

Averaging out their AAV salaries across 17 games:

Daniel Jones earned $2.7 million dollars tonight.
Brock Purdy earned $49,000.

E: Sam Darnold earned $265k.

In 2026 he will probably get a 300 million five year deal if he survives, so, here's to hoping for him.

To me, I just saw a very mediocre (not terrible) Giants team get beaten by a very strong 49ers team. Defense was kind of okay (although the 3rd down play is very concerning) but the offensive line may now be missing 3/5 starters with Neal gone, and he wasn't actually good anyway. I desperately want to see Hyatt do more but he has no time to get downfield with how bad the line is. They're obviously not actually as good as the team that showed up in the second half of the Cards game but they're not as bad as the team that showed for the Cowboys and the first half of the Cards game. Also when Tyrod came into the game and ran a little bit I realized that Jones had barely run at all despite it being his strongest skill. Only 2 carries for 5 yards.

I hereby sentence them to 7-10 *bangs gavel*

dan marino made 250k when he threw for 5,000 yards and 48 touchdowns in 1984. a year prior, dan fouts signed a six year contract worth roughly 6 million dollars. this sort of data was not of particular interest to the public at the time though it is a matter of public record. and today i look back at those qbs of yesteryear and say, "gimme dat! i'm just playin"

Tbf, this was offset by the fact that he never had to pay for any of the mountains of coke he did that year.

A natural result of blitzing over 80% of the time including multiple zero blitzes. It worked honestly, 49ers probably should've and probably would've score 40+ points otherwise

49ers don't play much man which is much easier to run against. And personally I would not want to try and carry the ball against Warner and Greenlaw

The Giants' offensive coaching was so not prepared for that game. They knew they were going to get rocked up front and they didn't do much to mitigate it. Danny ain't great but it's hard for me to put much blame on him for that.

Defense kept them in the game, frankly. SF relied on some crazy long third down conversions to extend drives.

yea, it seemed like all the planning was wrong. same with weeks 1 and 2.

i don't think i watched a single giants game last season, but did kafka seriously always come up with the wrong plan? i can't imagine he did given their record?

something seems very wrong with the whole coaching staff there.

Yeah its weird because I dont think they do what they did last year with the roster as it was if the coaching was that... off. But this year the gameplanning seems... rough.

McCaffrey had another touchdown in his hands too, before it got unluckily knocked out and they had to settle for the field goal. Plus the one where they were inside the five and did three pass plays in a row for some reason

So yeah easily could've been a 44 point day for the offense
