Scoring is way down and has been down in the red zone for years. Defenses are becoming highly specialized to clamp down in the red zone by having stronger, tackling corners and decent coverage LBs. The highly successful teams seem to be the ones that do high variance, big hitting plays. Some excel a lot at that and seem to be carrying over their success from last year but others can easily drop games if the variance is low.

I'm not sure it would. Apparently guys are coached incessantly to not reach for the pylon but the allure of endzone is too much.

It's a good risk/reward for guys diving for the pylon but other than that it would be a weird punishment for people who are aiming to get to the sideline to give themselves up

it's always crazy to see how many passing records are held by old timey players. during the Dolphins game they put up a graphic of the most yards for a WR through 8 games and Tyreek was 4th behind three pre-merger players. some dude had 1042 yards through 8 games in 1945. that's funny

Weird question, did Sunday Night Football demote Dungy or just give him less to do at some point before this season? The show is so much better without him on it giving his personal opinions. Plus to me Jason Garrett is inoffensively bland (and gently caress the Cowboys) so he doesn't annoy me as much as Tony "1 Super Bowl win with one of the most talented teams of all time" Dungy.
