I was sitting in my office on that drizzly afternoon listening to the monotonous staccato of rain on my desk and reading my name on the glass of my office door: regnaD kciN

Orell Retwin

"I've finished my scouting of the auction house and museum. If I'm thinking what you're thinking, we're going to need a quiet place and a little funny business with the cameras. Let me get set up while you guys move the body."

Alright, you can have a Boost die on the computers check for your big plan to frame Kerek.

Thus equipped by fortune, physique, and character, he was naturally indomitable, and subordinate to no one in the world.

"I'm glad we're all in agreement, then," Vy responded to Kerek, still audibly annoyed at the situation. She hoped that K'rak's departure meant he would try to figure something out with the others where Kerek couldn't hear. Vy, on the other hand, was stuck with their uninvited guest, and couldn't do much more than proceed with what Kerek would expect her to do: try to find Vorse Tabarith.

Nachkt and Kerek in tow, she once again began asking around the same places she'd begun her ill-fated investigation into Kaltho's presence. Hopefully this one would turn out a bit differently.

I assumed that the same roll I used on the last two Streetwise checks was appropriate, but feel free to let me know if I should retroactively add anything. :v:

Another 1? Aww man...

Davin is escorted into the room with Dr. Jevrik and given a cup of the same potentially radioactive caf.

Inspector Allus makes a round of introductions, raising a skeptical eyebrow at Davin's apparent lack of legal documents or other professional paraphernalia.

"Ms. Jevirk, is this your...selected advocate? If so...we really must begin." Commander Pimm leads Thobi from the room. "Your compatriot there has indicated that you were working with him on a sort of research venture involving a rare gemstone that is being auctioned off in the very near future here on Cloud City. Now, of course, you are not being accused of anything at this juncture, but certain mobilizations of the criminal element have given us the impression that this gemstone may be in danger of being...illegally removed from its present location." He pauses expectantly. "Feel free to jump in at any time."

Sen Jevrik

"We were working on a research venture," Sen replies. "Mr. Thul here was part of our group as well." She leans forward over the table, and looks to the Inspector. "In fact, you're right. The gemstone is the target of a couple of different groups, all looking to acquire it for themselves, and all through less than legal means. This is what we were hoping to prevent." Sen turns to Davin. "Mr. Thul and I are just two citizens concerned with stopping those who would break the law. We apologize if you were misled about our intentions."

Not sure what the difficulty is for this lie, and I figure I might as well let Koth get involved with bald-facedly lying to the cops too before we make any roll.

Diff 3, but with boosts contingent on what Koth says/does here.

The underworld elements of Cloud City have become much more nervous in the past few hours. Word has started to circulate that Kaltho the Hutt is not only on-world but planning some kind of operation. His chief enforcer has been seen making the rounds in the company of some as-yet-unidentified spacers. Some other well-known members of underworld society have missed appointments or have been otherwise suspiciously absent.

All of your searching for Vorse is stonewalled. The closest thing to an answer you receive is from a ancient Dresselian who mutters "If you're looking for Vorse...you would already know where he is." and then scurries off into a shadowy alley.
