Also, if you're going to triangulate to a political position in America, it's probably radical economic populism combined with anti-immigration and tough-on-crime rhetoric. Shillary was really bad at triangulating to a popular position- she mostly targeted the demographics of her social clubs.

Clinton was so terrible she basically tied with Trump. You have to be truly awful to perform that badly. And Bernie was even worse than that! He managed to lose to Clinton by 10 points. Nobody outside of/r/politics thought Bernie Sanders should be president.
