Doing this when commuting to my old job was like the highlight of my entire week.

Also in the beginning just look at those fools who would rather sit in traffic stopped then ride a scooter/motorcycle and have their own lane to breeze by in.

TO BE A BOSS YOU MUST HAVE HONOR! HONOR AND A PENIS!

Admittedly the traffic I'll have to commute through will be far lighter but yeah that looks fun as hell once I get used to Korean driving.

You don't see much in the way of cars out there that aren't Hyundai, Kia, Daewoo or the occasional Samsung. Japanese imports aren't that numerous as well as American cars. If you're someone over there you'll have an European car.

It's funny to me seeing the mini-trucks driving around on regular streets. My dad has one out at their place for hauling stuff around their property. Really fun little vehicles but man does it take a bit of getting use to driving a stick with the shifter on the opposite side of your body.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=-veqdNisJZ8#t=154s

That commute definitely isn't for me. Lane splitting really isn't for me as a whole unless everyone is dead stopped.

He tried to sell it before putting it up to do the tail and exhaust, and before putting the R6 swingarm on there. No one wanted to buy apparently, odd that. I'll let him explain why perhaps...

Finesse :D

No seriously. The bolt pattern is about a 1/4" to wide, so I had to squeeze it in the vise to align it, the brake piston cylinder is in the wrong place so I had to cut the mount off, fabricate a bracket and mount it about a 1/2" back from it's original position.

On the shift side I had to bend the shift linkage to clear the frame, and even then I had to make a small notch in the frame to accommodate it.

Notchin' da frame.

jtarkany;462051 posted:

Greatest challenge...well the individual fabrication of the sub-frame and the dogbone mount will be fairly straight forward, I think the real challenge will be in making sure the two work together and provide the correct alignment for the shock.

As far as the swingarm goes, it is about 1" shorter than original, however, with the rear tire adjusted to it's furthest location it is the same as being on the original at it's closest adjustment.

No on the side pipe, two cherry bombs welded up to an R6 header with a dual dump to either side, I am curious to see what the increase to flow does to backpressure and by extension performance. If it is crappy, then I will have to fab up something new :D

Yes, the old pipes will be for sale, however, to anyone who buys them, mounting is tedious and requires cutting out the storage tray under the seat if you use my mid-pipe.

What do the members think?

Motorcycles are to Kawasaki as Disney nightlights are to General Electric. Or so I thought, before I checked the financial statement. They're actually 18% of sales, or somewhere south of that when you remove other powersports from consideration. The segment's been losing money for at least two years. A US-based conglom would have gutted it and sold the remains after two bad quarters.
