G/G/B beaten with a Piranha weilding Krogaurd! Just steamrolled over everything in sight! Also joined a G/C/P game with a Cerberus Vanguard, and the guys asked me if I had a better class to play as.

This game is goddamn determined not to give me a Harrier. I can't even guess how many PSP's I've gone through since that gun came out and no luck. Almost tempted to get the single player DLC just to try it out - does getting that unlock it in MP? RNG

The Harrier does ruin poo poo in SP as well though, especially with the frequent ammo drops scattered along your path in every level.

Smash is really great for priming enemies before they reach the room if you take the area evolution at 6. You really do need biotic teammates to detonate though, otherwise you're better off playing something else.

Despite this, T is set as the text chat button and thus is unmappable as anything else unless you dig into the files. Voicechat has assignments for Push-to-Talk and options to be always on as well. So they have 2 types of currency and only one works on a specific EA game(despite Shepard being on the card, and text chat is there but can't be used. That is simply amazing.

I guess because you have to specifically search for it. Still would be easier to just get the Bioware points in the first place though.

Either I've forgotten how easy Bronze is, or all those Charge buffs are hilariously strong. Soloed FBW/C/B with a Kroguard and felt like I was a living grenade, just knocking crowds of dudes over every three seconds. Surprisingly, only two dudes so far who insisted on blowing all their medigel in the first couple of waves, and a lot of competent N7 < 120 showing up in my matches.

I managed to stay online long enough to finish my operation goal, so that's a plus. In other news, I unlocked the Widow Mk X and I'm very happy about that. Used it on my QFI for a 2man round of Silver with a Cerbguard (BeerEngineer, for those that know him) on Ghost/Reapers, and I was only 8k behind at the end of the match. We were both over 100k points . Also got a lev 4 rare gear upgrade. I forget which one it was, but the screenshot is on my laptop and I'm too lazy to upload it and make this a proper post.

It's been said before, but seriously, if you have problems soloing Bronze for the event, just pick any Vorcha specced for max Bloodlust regen vs Geth and you're basically unkillable. No joke you can sit there disabling a device with a Hunter and Pyro unloading in your face and not give a drat - no grenades and no sync kills make them the safest faction to play against by a large margin. It's also a really great way to gently caress around with weapons you haven't given a serious try so far, or just practicing getting headshots in your own personal Geth shooting gallery. Even if both weapons suck you can just fall back to heavy-melee bouncing your way through enemy ranks like some kind of razor covered pinball. By far the most annoying thing you'll encounter is getting staggered because it slows down your killing. I'm sure there's a way to get killed still, but it'd probably involve running into a freshly spawned group containing Prime with your regen stack at minimum and doing nothing.

I'll let you know how it works if I ever unlock that character, but since they added gold equipment that's pretty much all I get now (and not the good stuff like grenade increases or whatever). I can get through solo on bronze with consumables, and don't usually die in the main combat. It's the cash rounds that do me in pretty much. Actually really it's just the hacks. But I haven't managed to not get one yet in several hours of play today.

Agh, doing the weekend mission by soloing reapers bronze as a human soldier with the avenger and no other equipment. Finish the wave 6 objective, haven't been below shields the entire game, kill a ravager, start getting shot by another ravager....run into the first ravager's goo pile and fall over dead as I can't use an ops survival pack What a way to go

I tried this week's challenge last night and failed every attempt. My bottleneck is attempting to hack and having to sit in place and get shot the whole time. Also, I have no KroGuard. I do have a Vorcha Sentinel but I haven't leveled that class since promoting it a few weeks ago

edit: ^^^^^^^^ Word Thanks for the offers of help. I was too stubborn and powered through with the Vorcha Sentinel before coming back to the thread. I've never even played a Vorcha previously but I leveled him a bit across a few attempts. Overall his Bloodlust was amazing. As long as you're killing things (which isn't hard if you are solo'ing) you can shrug off most damage on Bronze. I was able to solo the challenge on glacier/geth/bronze with a level in the early teens.

You have to start out somewhere, and I don't mind playing with people that are still learning or haven't managed to trick the RNG into giving them decent stuff to work with. I've also had experience playing with people that aren't top tier. One of my main friends I play with is honestly pretty bad at the game (doesn't take cover very often, runs blindly around corners a lot, etc.), but we still have fun.

You should have messaged me last night! I was doing solo gold runs against geth on glacier all night and you could have just hidden in a corner or something and watched me and gotten credit for the operation. Solo gold against Geth is trivial with a Reegar Kroguard and some cyclonic modulators. Just ignore the primes and take out all the little guys to deplete the spawn budget. The only tricky part will be if you get assassination objectives, the VIP primes with extra armor are pretty tough. But as a tradeoff, escort and king of the hill objectives are actually easier. To put it one way, I've soloed and carried pubbies who score < 10000 points, and soloing is easier.

I haven't really been a fan of vanguards for the most part, despite loving the class in ME2. The fact that you have to live in constant fear of the end of the world unless you're hosting doesn't help, in addition to enemy melee/sync kills being even more bollocks than before, but I've been trying the Slayer out a bit more and I'm starting to enjoy it. I need to promote so I can optimize it better, as I'm lacking area charge and radius Phase Disruptor, but it's still generally pretty entertaining. I also like the Fury and Slayer's voices. They sound so enthusiastic.
