Combining an AP mod and the new Armour piercing barrel for assault rifles can make the dinky weak shooters ignore all armour. Tried the phaeston with that setup on the Turian ghost, and was killing brutes with one clip (50 bullets) on gold.

Thanks for all the info guys! I guess I'll give the Raider a try with my Geth glass cannon at some point then. EDIT: Also just played a FBW/G/G game with a Turian Ghost I just unlocked and drat, that guy has insane survivability ... FBW "farming" now feels like playing just a regular Silver game because you can afford to just run around the map in circles and mow everything down and occasionally hit "2" if push comes to shove. Maybe stating the obvious but the Argus is in the Single Player so you know if you ever played that you should have an idea of what it's all about.

Been running a lot of Hydra recently because I rather enjoy the aesthetic value and it seems decent for long range engagements i.e. infilsniping, but is it me or are the objective rounds some of the hardest? It's funny, maybe it's the rather loopy team comps and/or low levels but it seems to me the same sniper's boon of wide-view and open spaces leads to enemies to do insane things like thousand-yard Scion barrages or literally 3 turrets all within the same line of sight that can target from football fields away. Seriously, I have not had this much issues with my team getting wiped to turrets since the demo of this game where everyone was a Vanguard and charged headfirst into them. I don't get caught too often (though still happens) because I'm usually running some class with Energy Drain (my favorite ability ever) but I can't blame the guys because those engineers have been channeling Napoleon with their strategic placements. I think I recall someone mentioning cerbengies run off an A.I. where they're only allowed specific turret spots, so does Hydra have a million of really good ones or did the dudes just finish grad school or something because drat.

(With the high weapon variety, I like having everyone use different guns if at all possible. )

I'm working on Outsider Mastery and I'm giving the Drell Vanguard + Hornet a whirl on silver. I don't know if it's the class or if it's because of the experience from the 300+ hours I've put in, but I am absolutely wrecking everything. I've had a few close calls and I'd never take him out on Gold, but this guy is fun as hell.

As it is, even on the Destroyer with devastator mode on you run out of ammo long before anything really dies. I was using it with a Turian Sentinel. Incendiary Ammo + Warp and I still ran out a bunch of times trying to take down trash mobs on Silver. It's got a nice recharge rate so I dunno, maybe if it did more damage, it'd be good for burst-firing, but I'm just really unimpressed with it. I can't imagine how inadequate it'd be on Gold.

I'm so happy, this is the first DLC I ever saved up for and I got both Voluses, the collector rifle and sniper, the raider, and the Asari Justicar that I've been waiting for for a while. Also several levels higher for my GPS. I don't even know what to expect from playing as these ridiculous new classes.

Has anybody else had microphone issues on PC? The little speaker is blue for me in the lobby, but I don't get any input (including the sound logo off of the speaker thing) when I hit my push to talk button. Making voice chat always on didn't seem to help, either.

Really not liking the whole countdown thing when 3 people are ready. It's already hard enough to get pubbies with reasonable loadouts, now they start even more often without considering that an Avenger and Hurricane isn't a reasonable combo and a shotgun amp equiped with no drat shotgun

I think the difficulty spike is most notable to people who play with pubbies. I played a shitload last weekend to save up credits and rarely ever failed a Gold match (and wasn't farming outside of a few matches). Once the DLC hit the matches I've been in have failed about 50-60% before we even get past the second objective wave. I think it's a mix of increased difficulty and a lot of new/returning players who don't have the good weapons, gear, etc. I'm noticing a lot of matches have at least one really bad player who can barely get above 10k in score by the mid-rounds. All that said, gold difficult feels like it did when I first started playing the MP, before the higher-end weapons and characters became available. I don't think that's a bad thing, will just take some adjustment. Played a game of Cerb Hydra Gold with Lagomorphic as a QME and SciFiDownBeat as a Volus Adept. It was like a dream, every Atlas scanned, every Phantom in stasis, and my shields restored every time they went down. I'm going for Marksman first, but I've finished all the good ARs, not really sure which ones to do now. After that I'm obviously going for Monster.

I love these little combat medics. A reasonably well played Volus can easily carry a team to victory that would have otherwise been a horrible mess. And the Hurricane is a good fit for it. At least, a Hurricane 4 or better, since beyond that you're going to notice the cooldowns. My bouncing biotic bowling ball.

I actually played some matches with it and yeah, the Volus adept is wonderful. The first one I did, I was dropped into a round in progress and was soooo confused at first. He can't take cover, you're like two feet off of the ground, his light melee is friggin cloak for five seconds, and heavy melee is a shield that gets stronger the longer you hold it down? But then I got into the swing of things and it was really nice. I took the extra sphere evolution for biotic sphere, so it's like having 4 cool down free warps at any time, which combined with stasis is awesome. I never thought a Volus would be the easiest unit to completely obliterate phantoms with. Also, seriously, even if he did turn out to be a novelty character, I would still go into matches and spend the whole time just rolling in circles around everyone else. Unfortunately my xbox froze at the end of the last match I played, but next time I get to break in my volus engineer, and I'm so excited

I actually chose expose for the final evolution. I kinda like the flexibility of being a nice force multiplier when I'm firing them, and being a combat medic when I choose to hold onto them.

The Turian Ghost Infiltrator is fantastic with the Falcon-- especially with Cryo ammo. Cryo Explosions everywhere. Since your stimpacks can keep you alive extremely well if you dodge about and stick to cover, you can completely ignore Fitness without losing any survivability. Using the Falcon means you sacrifice some boss killing power (not much if you spec all your abilities towards AR damage), but since you have all those points you can spec your Overload into shield-stripping to still be useful. Oh, and that jet dodge means you can take on multiple phantoms without any problem and keep them staggered. Despite having to deal with so many more hapless randoms after the DLC, this class makes it all worth it. Really a blast to play.

Is that a bad thing Amateur Saboteur? I haven't used the Raider but people seem to like it, and I kind of like the Argus, although I'll like it much more once it's a higher level and does the appropriate amount of damage for how much of a kick it has. And I think the Paladin light melee is my favorite light melee in the game, even without that new information.
