I agree about the treatment, though I prefer these pictures:


Unemployed Danish syndicalists, inspired by the revolutions in Russia and Germany. Their revolution was unsuccessful, as I assume you could figure out, but they did manage to storm the stock exchange and beat people up with clubs, so wasn't a complete waste of effort.

The Social Democrats of course urged that the unions should „not be the playground of irresponsible people in the pursuit of purposeless and harmful experiments".

Depends how you count them, Champ Ferguson wasn't (to the best of my knowledge) actually enlisted in the Confederate forces, but fought on their behalf, and was hung at the end of the war for being a homicidal lunatic. Killed civilians and men unable to fight, and rolled decapitated heads down hills. Plus he'd already killed a cop with a sword before the war even started, so it was really just serendipity that he got to lead a death squad.

That spot is now the US Supreme Court, just down the street from where I went to early vote last week. DC does a pretty good job of putting "on this spot" historical signs up, so I'll see if I can find one for that.
