It's always kinda surreal for me when a famous person dies. Sucks for his family and I think it will be a bad thing for the genre as bands like SS help attract more fans as they were pretty mainstream nowadays.

Also for some reason I prefer the EP mix for some of these songs. also, not feeling new Rings of Saturn at all...or that band in general. new album is lame and gay and sped up.

I always hate when bands have a kickass EP or whatever and then put re-record some or all of the songs for an album. Even if it's just one song, it'll be slightly different and sound worse. For example "Cheyne-Stokes" by Chelsea Grin, "Sever the Voices" by Veil of Maya, and pretty much everything by The Gun Show because their EP was good fun and the re-recorded version was utter poo poo.
