E: Within SA Mart for safety reasons, obviously.

I was going to do black oak tag but if there's a better solution, I'd like to hear it! I bought wood from lowes (whatever one is appropriate for indoor, and stainable, and not that thick,) stained it dark brown, then screwed onto the back of the cabinet. I cut holes in each cubby and put one of those gromett kinda things that go into desks in the back to route cables up, and glued cable tie mounts to the back side of the cabinet. If i did it again I'd probably use the cable routing holes with the black brush attached to it.

Katana Gomai posted:Are you serious? I can get Amazon Prime in Germany and get free shipping from .com and .co.jp? That can't be right. You'll get free domestic shipping only, unfortunately. So Japan-Japan or US-US, but not Japan-Germany or US-Germany. If you know of a good forwarding service though, it can still save you $5-$10. Also, the rates I can get for .co.uk to to the US are generally pretty reasonable, like maybe a couple pounds, so it might be similar for Germany if you're trying to order something from .com. I've only ordered books that way though, sometimes they get weird about shipping video games across borders.

Yea that's the way I remembered it, he made it sound different though. And I am pretty sure the rates to Germany are the same as to the UK, which means for a DS game (for example) there is a base fee of like $20 for the order itself and then $3 per item. Hard to make it worth it without buying a dozen games at a time.

The shipping notices went out for the PS2 Gamestop sale(if you went for free shipping). It seems most of the games originated out of Mexico or Texas. There are alot of companies that exist in Mexico that print games for the North American region. So there's a chance that some of the Mexican ones are new games just put into the used pile. I'm curious to see if there's also a difference as far as being complete goes, between the games that were mentioned as USED after the title on the website vs the games that did not have used listed at all(despite being used games).

Some time ago I purchased an Atari Lynx while I was abroad. For some reason I didn't think to check if it was working in the shop, but when I got back home it wouldn't turn on. I recently discovered this thread, and thought someone might have a couple of pointers on what I could try to fix it. I had emailed the place I bought it from, and they assured me it worked, and to just clean the games with alcohol. However the Lynx does not give any signs of life. I put in the batteries and press 'on' and nothing happens, so I doubt it's because the games are not making contact. Ideas? (for some reason imgur insists in rotating the pic to this orientation, despite the fact that on my pc it is oriented correctly)

drat this thread. Thanks to the constant posting about the GameStop sale, I just purchased: R-Type Final Gradius III & IV Killer 7 Taito Legends 2 Activision Anthology It's only my iron self-restraint and complete lack of storage space that prevented me from buying like fifty games. Well, that and the need to buy a mod chip for my Saturn someday.

Ok! I'll post up my full list soon in a better format if goons want it, but in the interim mostly any physical games you can see on my Backloggery is available. I'm not that eager to sell my repro carts, Earthbound, or Suikoden II, but of course any offer or trade will be considered. http://backloggery.com/vrikkgwj If there is enough interest, I'll cut down my BL to what is still available (sold about 20 games so far, but most were PS2 ones already removed).

The GameCube component cable has a few proprietary circuits in the plug that they didn't put into the console instead so enjoy paying out the rear end for one (also it wouldn't fit).

I just realised again that you can mod your dreamcast VGA box to output RGB through the DB15 socket as well by just cutting a wire. Now I only need to find a switch I ought to have somewhere in one of my boxes and I'll be able to get glorious 240p and 480i on my arcade cabinet without having to resort to a SCART cable. Info if someone wants to modd your own: http://forum.arcadeotaku.com/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=1870

When http://www.vgrebirth.org/ was working it was the best thing out there since it tracked everything from isbn numbers to barcodes or the publishers identification numbers. It tracked it over all regions, all the different versions etc. I think it was the best thing out there but it seems to be in quite a slump lately.

PSOne games look good too, but I can't comment on SNES because I've never actually run homebrew on my Vita. The issue is that when a game's exploited, it tends to be some obscure game nobody's ever heard of and you have about 48 hours from the announcement to buy the game before it's pulled. The last one cost $10, and I wasn't about to drop $10 on some random game for homebrew access until the next Vita update comes out.

I thought that RF Generation sounded helpful. I wanted to start adding my NES games since I have most of them in a google doc already, but I can't because VARIANTS! Why are there so many variants? I have to wait until I can physically look for all the oval seals and 5-screw backs and alternate artwork. FML! Cool, helpful site though.
