Both of those could be quite tasty but I have *never* owned an England shirt and I can't see me buying one no matter how nice it is.

The Colorado Rapids, who I have no interest in really, have released the best kit ever. It looks quite tasty on its own, but if you look closer, the darker stripes are actually letters or more specifically the names of every singleseason ticket holder. Amazing. http://www.sbnation.com/soccer/2013/2/26/4032070/colorado-rapids-kit-release

Haha that's both a good shirt and a clever trick, because now every single season ticket holder will buy the new shirt because "it has my name on it!"

Philadelphia also has a new third shirt: It's an homage/tribute to Bethlehem Steel FC, which from 1911-1930 was one of the most successful clubs in America, winning the US Open Cup (National Challenge Cup at the time) five times. They played in Bethlehem PA, roughly 60 miles north of Philadelphia. Their history is pretty closely intertwined with the early history of the game in the US, and their decision to enter the Cup anyway during a time when the American Soccer League was boycotting it sparked the "Soccer War", which saw the USFA and FIFA withdraw their support for the league and essentially kill soccer in the country for decades. The back of the collar has the BSFC logo, as does the underside of the crest, on the inside of the shirt. The sponsor logo is the one Bimbo was using in the 40's.

Because either way, $3 million a year means I couldn't care less. And for once it's actually pretty well integrated into the shirt, unlike the present-day logo is on the main two shirts.

It's more of a reddish-orange (I bought it last night so I've seen it in person) but I hear what you're saying. Maybe a white would have been better. I would be willing to bet this was a compromise they had to negotiate with Bimbo when getting permission to use the old logo.
