I saw this in real life when I went to my cities museum (Bristol). Banksy before and after Team Robbo. (It was done just outside Bristol Childrens Hospital). And what it looks like now.

Although I support the sentiment I would prefer if it was created as porn for auto-erotic asphyxiation fetishists. That way the painting is a Kink-Aid.

A bunch of people are mad at Anita Sarkeesian for not allowing comments on her first Tropes vs Women video, but don't realize that she initially did. Hmm, why on earth would she have changed her mind about that?

Annoying that people outside Bristol only ever think of Banksy when thinking of Bristol street art. Flaskraven posted:Granted, I think all of Sweden's coat of arms look elaborate. Like the state's coat of arms. You got to have a fancy coat of arms when your country hosted both Atlantis and the place where Noah's Ark made landfall. Did you ever notice that the runic alphabet and the Greek alphabet both have 16 characters? Obvious proof that the Ancient Greeks originated in Sweden or that's at least what the Swedish 17th century writer Olof Rudbeck the elder thought when he penned the Atlantica (a.k.a. Manhem, "Man's home"). Also proven without a shadow of a doubt by Rudbeck is that the Ancient Goths were the forefathers of the Scandinavian people called götar, because, you know, the names are kind of similar and whatnot. It's because of the Atlantica that the current king of Sweden labels himself the 16th "Carl" on the throne because when they established the numbering system they counted a bunch of Goth kings as Swedish. I guess every nation has it's own myths placing it in the center of the universe, but the Atlantica has been described as impossible to parody.

This is actually pretty average. Story time! Once apon a time, several years ago, I was employed with a company that contracted with state medicaid agencies to audit claims to ensure that the providers that billed medicaid for uninsured patients were doing so for actual uninsured patients. We would have huge algorithms that would look through claims provided by the states to find people who had private insurance or medicare or whatever and tell the providers to bill correctly because the state is taking this money back whether they like it or not. It was a pretty good feeling to help states recover money. The point of this story is that I had production access to maybe 70% of the medicaid claims in the US and would peruse through the data looking how terrible bills could be. It's nothing out of the ordinary to see some for a couple thousand here or there which can cripple a lower income family. Then there's some that were in the hundreds of thousands of dollars for a series of visits. The worst I saw was a bill for close to 1.2 million. Imagine if medicaid didn't exist and you were just expected to cut a check for 1.2 million to stay alive. Anyway, I left that company after two years and I absolutely hate everything to do with the healthcare industry. The hospitals, doctor offices, medical school, insurance companies, all of it can go die in a fire because it's all a cycle of one group trying to get more money out of the other group and it's driving prices into an unaffordable mess.

This is only controversial if you claim that the Goths migrated into Scandinavia or something like that, but the etymological connection between Goths, Götland, Geats &c. is totally solid. The names aren't "kind of similar" they're derived from the same ethnonym, Proto-Germanic "*geutan", to pour (likely as in a waterfall, rapids, fast-moving river). Also applies to Scandinavians.
