From what I can tell there have been two owners (not including me) between these photos. Owner 1 registered it February 2010, sold it to owner 2 January 2013. Pretty sure owner 1 is responsible for all the bad things that have happened to this car, the guy I bought it from bought it and it was more of a lawn ornament.

I'd love to find a build thread or more info on this thing. Appears to have upgraded sway bars to go with the shocks/springs, braided lines, brake bias valve and some other miscellaneous go fast parts. Sadly a search of the VIN doesn't bring up anything.

And here's a shot of it going through Tail of the Dragon during the babe rally

I've had a few people tell me that actually. The strip of solid paint at the front of the hood is from a bug guard i just recently removed.

A little off topic, but has anyone here owned an SVT focus? I drove a few while working as a tech @ ford. Just thought of them, since im looking for a new commuter. They were fun little cars.

If you work it right, you might be able to get that hood peel to be the next "rusted hood" trend, then sell it for enough to some dumb ricer to buy yourself one with good paint.

They're alright. They're probably not worth any premium over a 2005-6 2.3 Focus with SVT suspension. That 2.3L is down only 20hp and doesn't have the specific issues that the SVT does (lovely stock clutch being the worst).

Doesn't it have really poor fuel economy because of the very short ratios in the 6 speed gearbox?

I never thought that thing cruised at too high an RPM, but yeah, the motor's fuel economy was like S2000 bad.

MALT LIQUOR!
I would cross chop the hatchback civic Si against the SVT, very similar power, weight, and size/shape. It has the 2.0 RSX base motor which is a solid unit. I've never heard much bad about the Si but I hear of some minor issues with the SVT. I personally had an 02' focus 2.0 ZETEC and it was kind of a piece of poo poo, never could get it to run right. Had the ignition coil fail, all four wheel bearings go bad, could never get it aligned right, had a spring break, a vacuum line pop, ABS/traction control sensor die, and an idle air control valve go bad all within 4 months. Ended up selling it for $2,000 though :v:

Mine is an aftermarket top, molded off the Honda optional top but with a few small changes and made of CF/FRP/lexan instead of metal/glass. About half the weight at 20lbs.

Though an avid Top Gear viewer I can't remember that segment, however they only started producing the new (i.e. C7) version of the S6 last year, so I'd say no.

Didn't get the car brand new (has 3,000 miles on it), so couldn't choose options. It belonged to the owner of the dealership I bought it from though, so it is extremely well-specced. Ceramic brakes it doesn't have, however.

Yeah. I like the color but I do wish I had a color that played nice with purple and blues. I have a friend at work who knows a guy who does powder coating so I'll try mixing up some colors and see if I can find an orange that looks OK when the time comes. Otherwise I'm just gonna do white or gold

The blackout bar (between the taillights) is righteous, why did any of these models come without it? People either love or hate the color; I sort of hate it when it is (usually) overcast and rainy, but when the sun comes out it's great and worth it. The Flowmaster cat-back that came on it makes it sound pretty antisocial when I rev it up, and I like it like that.
