I saw the first one, and thought, "I can see how he can get away with that; racist portrayals of Asians are still quite prevalent and not often commented on," then continued watching the other two. The best is the pride he has at the end of each ad, taking off the costume and showing you that not only is he owner of the dealership, he's your local minstrel as well!

Back in my day (3-4 years ago) we couldn't move our 64 inch plasma screen TV from room to room all willy-nilly, because that's totally a thing that I do like 17 times a day. There is no "back in your day" you smug little brat. gently caress you and gently caress your parents for raising a self-centered douche with an unwarranted entitlement superiority complex. I think you're missing the joke in that commercial, but I do question why they are pushing the move your TV anywhere aspect so much. I have no desire to move my TV anywhere, although it would be nice to not have to deal with cables all over the place, which they don't directly mention, but it's essentially still said. I do hate that it seems like I have to see this commercial on every commercial break, for every show I watch.

I hate the Brand Power and Nutri-facts commercials or whatever they're called. They're just so bare-bones and dull, I just don't get it. I complain about commercials not even being relevant to the product they're advertising, but I don't want this extreme either. It's like they use some fill-in the blank sheet for every single product. *Music plays as Brand Power/Nutrition Facts (circle one) appears on screen* __________ (product name) is a food/drink/vitamin (circle one) that can help ______________ (what product is for) and makes your life healthy/easy (circle one). Buy it today. *End commercial*

I think the issue is that it's hard to make the cable issue a selling point of the service, but it's in the back of everyone's mind when they see it, I'm sure. It's kind of like the waterproof Samsung cell phone commercial where they don't show it falling in a toilet.

It's like they use some fill-in the blank sheet for every single product. It's part of the mystique that they want for their advertising. It is a real 3rd party, but what they aren't disclosing is that they aren't a consumer advocate company like Consumer reports, but is a marketing company. They make the ads, and the actual company agrees to pay them and run it. It's extremely dishonest but because it's done so cheaply in a lame way everyone just assumes they really wanted it to look like a infomercial.

Also, they imply this: There are X number of TV's in the house, and there are X+1 different people that want to watch different shows, yet the TV having the ability to be moved anywhere is somehow going to allow you to watch SpongeBob? If Dad is watching his dumb show, and Mom is watching her dumb show, and there are only 2 TV's in the house, it doesn't matter that you can move the TV in the basement, the garage or put it on the roof. You are not watching what you want until later.

From boyhood through adulthood, the White American Male must fight his way through a litany of taunts, assumptions and grievances about his very existence.
