Give the Tome to Syv, of course! I'd only say otherwise if it was an Intelligence Tome, in which case it'd go to Imoen.

I wonder what lessons Syv will learn from Mulgore being the one to take out Fear, Love, and Pride. Maybe that mindless, brute destruction is the best answer to inner turmoil?

Ok- not sure i should ask this here, but apparently one of the mods gave a Str limit to using arrows- E.G, Imoen can't put any arrows in the arrow slot. Is this actually one of the mods or a wrong install?

Back to the game: it's been a while since you used the stone of recall, and there was a quest triggered there with a ghost talking to Imoen. Maybe you should go back there :V

Sorry, I've never heard of a mod like that before.

That quest was triggered by Imoen using one of the spells that she selected when she first became a mage, something that boosted DEX. Thanks for reminding me - maybe she can cast it again and we can see what that ghost does about it.

We don't have any more winners in the death pool, but we do have a few more losers. Ghostwoods bet 2 votes that Xavia would be killed by the undead, but she died to a lightning trap. Also, Haystack and Linedance both bet that Mulgore would die, but since he left the party with Xavia, that is no longer possible. Too bad, better luck next time and all that.

(Also I seem to have listed loco88's bet for Syvishtar to kill someone first in the wrong category last post. Should be in the 2-factor bet category.)

My save is guaranteed to not work, but I can simply export my character and import him into the beginning of bg2 no problem. And if there are any discrepancies I can just edit Syvishtar back to the way s/hes supposed to be. That's why the beginning of BG2 is a natural place to do a reinstall.

Ok, I looked this up. There is an option in Sword Coast Stratagems II that tries to prevent chunking. From here:

quote:

Make party members less likely to die irreversibly

This component tries to prevent "chunking", the annoying permanent death of your character when you're reduced below -10 hp. Characters who get reduced to 0 hp or below just die in the usual fashion and can be resurrected. It isn't possible to prevent quite all forms of chunking (massive damage from fire, in particular, still seems to cause chunking fairly reliably), but this component should make it a rarer occurrence. This may be useful in the later stages of the game, when melee opponents often do 30-40 hp damage per blow - that 10 hp safety margin starts to feel slender.

So it isn't possible to prevent all forms of chunking but many are prevented. If I reinstall BWP I can not choose that.

That'll be good for the transition to BG2. The trip from almost-dead to -50HP will also happen a gently caress of a lot more than it does in BG1. And its happening a fair amount of times already.

Trust me, it's notorious in the modding community as well. That mod has its own small, very creepy but intensely devoted fanbase, but most of the modding community loathes it. There's a revamp of the mod currently underway, and the lady coding it refused to proceed unless the person who took charge of the mod after its original author disappeared agreed to remove the scene where you can attempt to rape Imoen.

It will more likely be the Nexus community than the Baldur's Gate modding community, though. Most of the mod NPC romances are pretty tame stuff - what we've seen so far is fairly typical. There are just a handful of outliers like the Imoen, Sarevok, and Keldorn romances. Nexus mods, on the other hand, go into full-blown porn and deviance.
