Is this an actual thing? I'm sure it tastes awful, but wouldn't it also make the coffee you make after taste vaguely of lovely chicken soup? (I have no idea how a Keurig works)

Yes, it's real (or, will be soon, don't think it's in stores yet.) In theory there won't be any "cross-contamination." As said, the hot water runs through the K-Cups that are disposed of, it doesn't sit and brew in a re-usable part of the brewer like a regular drip-maker. However, anyone who has used a Keurig (or a Kermit...  ) knows that it never works perfectly, and coffee grounds escape into the little area the K-Cup sits in. And yes, I've had coffee grounds get into my tea, and other such stuff. So I can easily see getting some coffee in your soup and soup in your coffee.

It would be wrong of me not to link some more of this artist's work (I went to school with the guy, he is 20).    All can be obtained for as little as £5 on his ebay, which is largely filled with pornographic crayon drawings.
