I think Danny Brown may have made my song of the year in Float On. I am happy ODB didn't make it onto the end of the album, just because that is a perfect finish to me as it stands now. People asking for old, but he's just giving real. Song of mortality.

MNIMN, thumbs down. Maybe I'm tired by its bland compared to stuff I've already heard. I'm not surprised but there goes another shot on the NMD Raps Roulette.

Float On is pretty good too. He sounds a lot like Chuck Inglish. It is a good closer. Old isn't a concept album but its more cohesive than I gave it creative for.

I'm still pretty stumped about what to actual ease my dad in with, I'll think of something eventually. In other news my copy of Event II came in the mail today and I really like it. Del does sound older but he's still good. I'm seeing Deltron 3030 on the 13th, hype as gently caress.

300,000 views in four hours, man. Do you know how many Control had in four hours? You don't.

Snow Tha Product sounds like a female Yelawolf.

Tech N9ne can have decent production but does he always use the same super fast flow or does he change it up? I've never listened to his albums, I kind of hate his flow on the songs I've heard.

edit: thanks. Yeah, never actually listened to Hell Hath No Fury, assumed that would be one rec. I do often like the particularly good Neptunes productions.

If you haven't heard to it yet, He'll Hath No Fury is always worth a listen. I haven't actually listened to the entirety of MNIMN yet, but if you liked the production on Numbers On The Boards you should enjoy the Neptunes at least.
