You could just disassemble any guns you don't use frequently, just to max out mods in inventory for the time being. I find myself using 2 setups (one stealth, one non-stealth) for 90% of runs anyway.

Right now, when you disassemble a mask, the mask, pattern, color, and material all disappear. They can (and almost assuredly will) drop again, if you continue to play, but unlike weapon mods they are currently one time use only.

As for weapon configs, I have 2 CAR-4s that I use, one for stealth, one for not stealth. I also occasionally use the AMR and the 308. For a secondary, I have a Deagle that I typically use for stealth, and a bronco for not stealth. I'd have to fire up the game to look at what mods I use for each gun, but doing that has maxed out weapon mods for me.

These weapon drops are killing me. 100 hours played and I've never seen a milspec scope or a fire breather and most weapon drops are stuff that I already own and is only usable on one weapon.
But I guess you can't have enough UAR rifle barrels, I need way more than 3 short barrels right? :suicide:

I've had quite a few sights drop, but pretty much every one I have found worse than the iron sights on all the weapons I have tried them on. You give up too much peripheral vision and it's easy enough to hit the target without them.

If you want sights (or any particular gun part) the best way to guarantee them is to run Jewelry Store again and again and again for cards. You'll wind up getting a lot of masks and patterns, but you will also start filling up your inventory with mods. Once you have two of a specific mod in your inventory, it will stop dropping. Farm enough cards and you are guaranteed to get every mod. It isn't really fun, it's grindy, and it really isn't any better than using LUA, but if you want to guarantee yourself an inventory full of weapon mods, the best way to do it is to farm cards.

Also, it doesn't really help with sights, but if you want mods for a specific gun, I've found that filling up my inventory with copies of that gun helps. Supposedly having a gun in your inventory will raise the odds of a mod dropping for it, and I heard that it stacks. I'm not 100% sure that it's true, but it seemed to work for me.

I'm filling up all of my weapon slots so this should help with any mods common to my weapons. I don't mind running jewelry store a few times but I think I'd struggle to keep running it for an entire session.

I don't mind the sight with the red dot on it (e: I think I have the holographic one as I've found a lot of them have a red dot). It doesn't have the distance blur associated with iron sights so I find it a lot easier to use.

Holy poo poo, I think I'm going to go do *anything* else at this point, they're going to run up loving "Patch 18.99999997" before they drop the new poo poo, and it'll still be broken.

I'm just about here, at this point in time.

I had this bug, it only happened to one person in the match, and we were unable to complete the mission because when we stood in the helicopter box to escape it was stuck with us waiting on the downed person. But since it was overkill they would never get a chance to respawn, so it didn't spam at least. Really frustrating even without that.

I didn't make the connection either. I just assumed it was a random badass nickname (although I guess before I thought of it as more of a biker name for some reason) or associated with prison time.

I have over 170 hours played, well over a hundred ukrainians and have like 8 holo (4 on ARs and 4 on smgs). Well, i have pretty much shitloads of every attachments but I suck at getting mask patterns or colours. I think i have like 7-8 fire breathers, 5 tanks, 2-3 stubbys...

I also blew like 1.7 billion on the card game trying to get stuff for the new guns too :v:

Me and my friend just duoed the train heist. kind of. We killed 4 guards, dominated the last, found the guard in the train car and avoided him, hauled all the turret parts to shore then hauled ALL FORTY loving BAGS OF AMMO to shore, tossed the turret parts into the boat and while we waited for the second boat to show up the loving escape square spawned on us. So we left the mission, with forty bags of ammo sitting on the shore, no alarms, no cops.

...at least we got the doing the mission without killing snipers achievement.

Got this when it was on offer a week ago. Pretty fun, heists tend to be shorter, more intense and less siege-like than in Payday and I like that change.

The one thing I really do not like about this game is how weapon mods are totally randomized. At least add an option for the player to buy the weapon mods they want, in addition to the random drops. I understand that the reasoning could be that they don't want people to be able to build the most awesome weapons relatively quickly and then perhaps becoming bored with the game, but for me it's still more annoying and makes less sense that I have no control over what I can add to my guns.

Outside of Jewelry runs, you can Lua 2 of every weapon mod into your inventory. Then you can preserve some "progression" by forcing yourself to earn the money for them at least.

We don't need to have that dialogue because it's obvious, trivial, and has already been had a thousand times.
For those not in the know: you can identify the correct train doors by looking under the door, through a gap, to see if there is a vault door in the room.

Forgive me if this has already been posted, I did have a scan back through the recent pages.

Has anyone had an issue with the game crashing the minute you try to connect to a game on Crimenet? This happens when connecting to a game, or when someone else tries to connect to a lobby I've set up. Firewall is just Windows and only using MSE as an antivirus.

Any help appreciated!

Try restarting Steam. That usually helps for those kinds of issues with this game. Not sure why it works, but it works.

Why they haven't added host migration yet is baffling as this was a problem in PD1 as well.

Clearly tweaking skills that currently work fine is more important.

Your only window into the ongoing development of this game is the head designer. If the head designer was working on technical features like that instead of doing... well, doing design, that would be cause for concern.

But yeah, game does need that. Ping display as well would be nice.

So I went Mastermind as the idea of grabbing people to join our side sounded fun, I play mainly with 2 other buddies and ended up looking up mastermind tree's and blah blah blah

I find most my missions go I do alright on bodycount. My accuracy is always number one as I aim for heads. I don't have the lvl 36 pistol yet so I use the M380, think thats the rifle, but overall I feel almost useless when it comes to getting bags/drills anything you know....useful.

Is a mastermind crucial to have and at what point in the game?

Inspire is good. It's like probably the most useful combat skill in the game. It will help your team tremendously on the harder heists.

That 400k that saw got you? It's chump change. It's nothing. You can make twice that on easy jobs without the tedium in a few levels, don't go enforcer just for the saw. Go enforcer because you want to punch shields in the face and slowly walk around with shotguns. You can have a saw then as an occasional bit to change it up, but the enforcer class shouldn't be defined by the saw.

The train heist is a bonus heist that you can get from the armored transport heists. Sometimes there are blueprints in one of the lock boxes which give you the train heist. It's sort of like an escape in that you have to do it to get the payout from the car job. I have no idea what the frequency of it happening is. The train heist is a long rear end heist that is really boring to sneak and incredibly difficult to not sneak so have fun with it!

Could the lack of host migration be a result of being tied into the Steam community/social/friends/whatever system? Do other games utilize that, have local hosting, and offer host migration? I have no idea (I actually can't think of any games that offer host migration, period).

Modern Warfare 2 was p2p, had host migration and was fully integrated with steam friends etc.

Might as well make a build for every 25 levels. You will slow down before 75 and failtrain to 100 and be poor, or Rats a ton for money.

Since you're going Mastermind, might as well pick up more useful skills and host games for your friends. With this build you can drill faster (not silent drill though) and pick up bags faster as well.

Already slowed WAY down as mall crashers isn't giving crap for xp even on hard/very hard. Gotta try/find other missions that give good actual xp.
Sounds like Rats for money though
