The Political Compass fixes its scale. I suspect the people who run the Political Compass website have a similar political persuasion to most goons, given the test wording and the use of the word neoliberal. I'm not a big fan of the Political Compass myself, it reeks of the Nolan Chart.

Here's a shot of the debate between the chairmen of the three minor factions during the elections in 2013. Left to right: Gysi/Linke, Brüderle/FDP, Trittin/Grüne, helpfully sorted by height. As usual, Gysi owned and ended up straight up calling Brüderle a liar to his face

That is not how you pet an unfamiliar dog. You move slowly, let 'em smell your hand, lick it if he wants to. Then, if he lets you, slowly scratch his ears or something. I'm not a dog person but seriously that poo poo's just common sense.

It's muddled thinking to simply describe the likes of the British National Party as "extreme right". The truth is that on issues like health, transport, housing, protectionism and globalisation, their economics are left of Labour, let alone the Conservatives. It's in areas like police power, military power, school discipline, law and order, race and nationalism that the BNP's real extremism - as authoritarians - is clear. It's easy to see how the term national socialism came into being. The uncomfortable reality is that much of their support comes from former Labour voters. Fascists support state ownership of public services, who would have guessed??? Working class racists may have been more likely to vote for Labour than the Tories, who would have guessed??? Clearly this means fascism and communism are one and the same.

Unarmed Man Is Charged With Wounding Bystanders Shot by Police Near Times Square. quote:But the Manhattan district attorney’s office persuaded a grand jury to charge Mr. Broadnax with assault, a felony carrying a maximum sentence of 25 years. Specifically, the nine-count indictment unsealed on Wednesday said Mr. Broadnax “recklessly engaged in conduct which created a grave risk of death.” Yeah, no, it's not like cop's have enough freedom to shoot unarmed suspects, now they're off the hook when they shoot a bystander, too.

Why didn't they do that first, then resort to gunfire? 3) This man did not pull the trigger. As to why the police acted the way they did, I don't know. The DA's contention is that Broadnax was acting recklessly and knew that his actions could result in someone getting hurt, so that's why he's being charged with assault. If he's legit mentally ill, he'll probably get off. If he was cracked out and acting like a shithead, he'll probably do at least 10 years.
