After hearing that Joel McHale was instrumental in getting Dan Harmon back, I want a DVD extra where he and the cast march to the offices of the Sony execs, where he delivers a Winger speech to bring Dan Harmon home.

I don't know if this is too close to or whatever, but I don't have cable right now and I'm wondering if there's a good NBC stream I can find somewhere? I have gotta watch this live.

Never really looked into the online Community community stuff, why is Inspector Spacetime so reviled?

I didn't mind the Inspector Spacetime stuff in season 3, but I think the references in season 4 crossed the line between 'material related to a larger point' and 'pandering.' Really, the only good part about the IS convention episode was Britta using the female Inspector to provoke Abed and even that went nowhere.

Dr. Who nerds got really into it, like making a hundred TV Tropes pages about Inspector Spacetime but all they did were change some names around. The actor who played IS also made a terrible web series about it.

I could not be happier to see a Community thread sticked again. Hopefully the repiloting can draw a new audience from people seeking something new to watch.

About a day after Inspector Spacetime first appeared, tropers made it into this.

The tropers were the worst about it because the episode summaries are copy/pasted Doctor Who episode synopses but with some of the names changed to different things. Not funny or original or clever things that are like, jokes or something, just page after page of ersatz Doctor Who plots.

So I've seen enough of season 4 to know I'm not bothering with the rest. Anyone want to give me a rundown of the major events of season 4 so I'm not lost?

Medium Cool posted:So I've seen enough of season 4 to know I'm not bothering with the rest. Anyone want to give me a rundown of the major events of season 4 so I'm not lost? The only important thing that happens happens in the only episode worth watching. Episode 11 Basic Human Anatomy feels like a Season 3 episode that accidentally wandered off and got separated from the rest of the group. If you still decide not to watch it: Troy and Britta break up. That's about it. But you should watch it because it's the only part of season 4 that's actually a funny episode with jokes that make people laugh. Oh and I guess the finale has Jeff (and Pierce) graduate too, that's probably important.

Herstory of Dance is pretty good. The A-story is perfunctory; Britta is being Britta and Jeff (and the Dean) are trying to take her to task for it, but Pierce ironically is the one to save her and basically tells Jeff to lay off. But the B-plot involves Abed doing one of those two dates on the same night things, then ends up getting a girlfriend for real in Brie Larson and she's really cute 1st AD fucked around with this message at 23:32 on Jan 2, 2014 |

Troy and Britta broke up; Abed has a girlfriend; Jeff met his dad and both Jeff and Pierce graduated. Chang had a stupid evil amnesia plot that's getting axed in the re-pilot.
