I really want to play multiplayer on this, it's the only reason I bought it, but the game just runs like a piece of poo poo whenever I join a server. I can play by myself and have it run perfectly well but as soon as I join a server it's sluggish and slow and unplayable.

Did you guys go for a server crawl last night? I joined up last night for an hour or two and hunted pubbies with a stack of pipe bombs but had to hop ship for an early morning just as people were starting to suggest joining other servers. vinney here, by the way.

So i'm going to add a list of the latest supply caches to the PGS thread. Check it if you need supplies/need a place to stash your gear. Some of them are basically mini-dungeons you have to traverse too. So they'd make good bases. One is infested with zombies that any people entering have to fight their way through to get to the base itself in fact!

We did a little server hopping before I had to log out due to a kopfschmerzen. It was down to me and one other goon. We found some pubbies doing some building in Gravetown. One was building a concrete shack and another was trying to rebuild an existing building. We killed all the pubbies in the area, and I decided to see if a rocket launcher could blow up a stash and all the loot it contains. It can! Then we set up a bunch of TnT and completely demolished the project structure and the Mayor's office adjacent from it, and wrote RIP in the road between them with some leftover blocks. The fireworks were a thing of beauty.

Party Alarm posted:It seems the list is bugged and shows servers as full when they are not. To be fair, the server gets pretty active starting around 3PM EST or so. I had to boost it to 40 from 20 because we were running out of slots due to all the pubbies and goons flooding the place. If I boosted it to 65 with the current bug showing servers as full we'd probably get more people. I may try that for a bit to see how many pubbies we can lure in. Edit: And it's already working. It's early in the morning, and five minutes after I brought it up as the highest server pop-wise on the list, we have ten people on. Archonex fucked around with this message at 16:59 on Jan 2, 2014 |

Protip: keep a sharpened stick handy at all times. They never degrade in durability so if all else fails you have at least one useful tool.

PROTIP- If Cpt Swearword wants to build a base with you, he's going to line it with explosives. This is a good thing, as we had a pubby following me around last night, trying to assault goon fort. I would rig each of our meetup locations with TNT buried one block underneath it, in an attempt to kill him. Cars, his forts, even blew up an entire mountaintop. Was great fun.

Over the course of this I helped stage an epic drama as the iron-fisted ruler of a group of bandits that our hero Swear had broken away from, the pubbie bought it hook line and sinker and then challenged me to a 1v1 cage match fistfight. And of course accused me of cheating when he inevitably lost twice in a row

I joined the LLJK server and my spawn point just happened to have a large base already established. It got fortrified into a Bartertown type zone before raiders blew up most of it. The players within then turned into dwarves and tunnelled all the way from the desert to underneath the Spillway Lake. Also tons of tnt.

If a computer part melted, Archonex, blame Ves. Yeh, Apache got a few pubbies and me together, and we raided that pubbie base so hard, they literally tunneled from the desert to Spillway Lake. Some guy (Ves- somethingorother) ran a massive string of TNT along their escape tunnel, and ripped a massive line over a good quarter of it. It had to happen, Synth. They were in goonserver, talking about "friendly PVP server" and "cooperation" I harassed them out the server. That, or they went to bed. vv I pulled the torches in the tunnel and tossed them, then plugged their lake entrances. Since you can't mine down through water...

Hopped into some servers with goons for the first time last night. It was mostly fun. We found one server that had a pretty huge wooden structure that seemed important, so we set about with oil barrerls and rocket launchers, leveling the thing. Through most of that, the lag was so bad from all the entities that people respawning into the area couldn't see anything but people shooting rockets at invisible things. We brought 3 servers to their knees through similar means. The only real snag was getting accused of being a pubbie a couple times. I don't have a mic yet, so there were a few times when goons would be dropping stacks of items that I thought they were just dropping for anyone, and I'd end up getting blown up because they thought I was stealing them. By the middle of next week, I'll have a mic though, so hopefully that'll no longer be a problem.

Don't worry, that'll still happen once you get a mic. Goons are a paranoid lot.

Before he did this he reverted back to before the explosion, but the cave we dug is still there. I filled it with TNT again. The new image he has for the server is our cave filled with TNT. I've blown it up three times. It doesn't quite melt the server now, but he keeps reverting back...to the world with a cave full of TNT. e: I also stashed TNT in crates all over the lake area. There is some in the wooden house, and some more in the stone castle. blueblueblue fucked around with this message at 19:55 on Jan 3, 2014 |

I't doesn't take goons long to find tnt/oil barrels and start exploding everything. When you get 4 or 5 of us, it goes quick. Buildings are demolished, lives are lost. Did you build something awesome? We will find a way to destroy it.
