If DSP is just a persona, it's extremely elaborate. He's gone to conventions and acted as he does in all his videos. He's apparently been acting like this long before he even got e-"famous." Occam's Razor points to him being beyond thick.

These game vids kinda remind me of an awesome vid I can no longer find or even remember what it was called it was back in the early days of minecraft just as it was becoming popular and had some guy in his underground base showing off his stuff in a chest or something "yeh got some diamonds" and he turns around and BLAM death by creeper. It wasn't the death so much as the defeated little "no!" that proceeded it and the "oh god dammit!" when he dies it was awesome. Also some video of a kid playing like Sonic or something and sucking at it and getting progressively angrier and angrier at it had me in tears it was so funny. I love watching people play games that do that - I get angry at games too so I know their pain but it is always hysterical to watch them flip out about pixels.

The real schadenfreude is that Seth Putnam wrote songs designed only to annoy and irritate people by being ridiculously offensive and shocking. One of those songs was titled "You're in a Coma." Then he overdosed on a speedball and, surprise surprise, was rendered comatose. Putnam's Wikipedia Article posted:Putnam's reaction to the resulting irony of being in a coma was published in the Boston Phoenix: "Actually, it turned out it was just as gay as the song I wrote nine years ago – being in a coma was just as fuckin' stupid as I wrote it was." Then he, predictably, died of a drug overdose.

That's an example of something going wrong (kicked in junk, foot to face, missing and falling down) would have been much better than everything going right.
