nice gizmo's pills are suspended in a liquid because i've found squirting it in her throat/on her face makes her take it and is easier for me than pilling her

I found all you have to do is get genuine high-grade beef chunks from the store and cut them up and poke a hole and put the pill inside and then feed them to the cat and the cat starts to look forward to pilling

oh yeah, that was a problem at the start. it took us a while to figure out optimal chunk size and pill insertion method so that it's too hard to eat the pill out

also it helps to have another piece waving right in front of them so they gobble that poo poo in a hurry

so chicken treat question. i use bone-in chicken thighs a lot since they're dirt cheap. usually i just save the bones in the freezer for making stock, but is it okay to give a raw bone w/ tendons and some meat attached to the cat?

in theory raw bones should be fine because they wont splinter like cooked bones

never give cooked bones to an animal

I've been lurking this thread for a while and quietly rooting for Catbot, but if it's time, it's time. You gave him a fantastic life and a lot of love and care and there's nothing more that could be asked of you. Letting him go before the pain gets too bad is part of loving him, too.

raw is fine, Mithrin used to crunch them up and eat them when he was younger. cooked is not ok.
