Making fun of their own audience doesn't seem like a very Fox thing to do and judging by the commenters, if it's a joke on Putin they're not in on it at all. 'Macho' being in quotes reads more like "gee whiz look at this crazy word the kids are using these days" that comes out of Kelly cartoons than it does like a sarcastic insult here because that's how elderly white men are more likely to read it.

The same way they did with Syria. Pretty much yes to all of it. The right hasn't stopped fighting the civil war or the cold war. Communism is the great enemy so we MUST fight it at all costs, especially at home. See, Oblammo passed a law that gave poor people something and that's communism! Now Russia is starting to spread again so obviously WE MUST DEFEND AGAINST COMMUNISM by deliberately impoverishing our own people. It's paradoxical because they adore Putin for being such a totalitarian bastard. They dream of getting away with the sorts of things happening in Russia. The dittoheads don't give a poo poo what Obama does. The only thing they care about is finding an answer to the question "Obama did a thing. What can we say that makes it wrong?"

Apparently during one trip it almost ended in disaster because they physically cannot roll down the window.

What I find baffling is that they're complaining that Obama is doing this thing we like to call "travelling safely" which, you know, presidents of large, powerful nations generally need to do. I'm going to guess W. Bush was also surrounded by very similar safety measures but you didn't hear any complaints back then! Of course I'm going to assume part of that is because W was their darling and they WANT Oblammo to get assassinated.

Also, the posters pointing out that right wing media listeners are jacking off to the totalitarianism of Putin while crying "freedom!" and "big government" here at home are spot on. Reading the Freep thread taught me that most of these folks want to be in a theocratic fascist government. It just has to be the right religion and political bent.

Oh, I just heard a radio ad about primarying John Bohner, since I live in the Cincinnati area (I actually live in Bohner's district, about two miles away from his house, and considered running against him out of boredom). Basically it consisted of "John Bohner makes back room deals, sign a petition to have someone run against him in the primaries, because of Nancy Pelosi and Obamacare!"

What freeper types really want is the freedom to oppress and exploit. They want themselves and people like them to be powerful and wealthy while everybody else is weak, desperate, and easy to control. It's part of why the very wealthy dump so much money into support of "economic freedom." There is a strong desire among the right to return to the 19th century when a few white men owned everything and everybody else was so desperate they'd work 80 hours a week in unsanitary, dangerous conditions in return for barely enough money to not starve to death in a year.

They vote against their own interests out of racism and xenophobia that Republican elites are more than happy to foster.
