Considering that Sharyl Attkisson's report on Benghazi was shown to be completely full of poo poo and built mainly on the testimony of a supposed eye witness who turned out not to have been in the places he said he was, CBS wouldn't really be out on a limb in firing her. But they didn't even do that, she resigned. Way to go Bok.

Pretty sure there are people out there who don't believe in the Moon. not just "I don't believe America landed on the Moon in 1969," or "I don't believe Mankind has landed on the Moon," but "I don't believe the Moon is real."

I think it's pretty hosed up that Barrack H Obama supports the kind of abortion where a woman carries the baby to term and just when it comes out the doctor shoots it in the face screaming "PRAISE SATAN".

This is so very little removed from What People Actually Believe it's unsettling. Even Catholic studies report that 90% of abortions are in the first trimester, the tiny fraction of "partial birth" abortions are performed when the fetus has an immediately fatal illness or to save the mother. The boogeyman of abortion is akin to "they banned prayer in schools!!!" in its factual vacuousness and sensationalism.

Seriously they're absolutely terrifying. Sci fi writers could write about cosmic horrors until the heat death of the universe and wont come close.

I honestly don't get how they're that scary. They're not cosmic vacuums, they just have extremely large gravitational influence; you can still orbit them, as several stars do around what is believed to be the black hole at the center of our galaxy.

Yeah, having spent years as a teacher, I've seen again and again how the teachers with the most knowledge are the ones who got a degree in a field, and then took teaching courses. The ones who went the teaching degree route, with enough credits to qualify for a subject endorsement, tended to both pretty dumb and defensive about it.

My wife too some PhD level courses, and when I suggested a fairly basic statistical method, her prof said "You can't do it that way! You need to have an average". I've been much less than impressed with what passes for graduate classes in education, at both MS and PhD levels.

I tried to decide if I should bring some good cartoons (Herblock), or some Good Cartoons. I did kind of want to lie to everyone about what they meant. I also opted against Muir because I would not wish that upon anyone. In the end, I went with

I printed in black&white, though, so I lost the intended effect (yellow man). However, that same classmate of mine asked "Is he cutting the military to pay for his Obamacare?"

Then...

I spent weeks trying to figure out what this Ramirez meant. I had to check his facebook (welfare state is bad and encourages single motherhood and encourages fathers to leave the families. This should have been clear to you).

Good choices all around. I would have done Asay and Ramirez too, with a good cartoonist mixed in like one of Horsey's old ones.

Comedy option would have been the Roosevelts DbD, any Animal Nuz, and pants on the floor Luckovich.
