My roommate likes watching ted talks in the living room on 1.5 speed so everyone sounds like chipmunk people. He's a nice guy, but I think I might destroy him.

The heavy theory crowd should totally watch some late period WCW. Vince Russo, as inept as he is, keeps trying all this weird complicated meta poo poo. Wrestlers "not following the script", talking about jobbing, it's... Interesting. nWo Souled Out is before him but it's fairly artistic too. Terrible, mind you, but a rare case of trying to give a PPV a theme and atmosphere of its own. It's what happens when a wrestling company has unlimited money.

When I looked it up it turned out that the guy who looked a lot like J Mascis was in fact J Mascis, making a 5-second one-line cameo in a low-budget artsy independent black comedy for reasons beyond me. This is amazing, but I'm surprised they gave him a speaking role, because, my god, is it difficult to listen to him talk.

The best Mexican place I've ever been to is a place here in Providence called Baja's. Their pork is just out of this loving world, and they stuff the hell out of a burrito for you if you get one. They're also a Tex/Mex place so they have plenty of other great stuff too, but I've never gone wrong with a pork burrito. There's a Chipotle down the street from it and I literally can not fathom why anyone would want to go there instead.

I love my local taco joints, but I actually prefer white people burritos to the sloppy messes you get there. I like a lot of rice and meat. Taquerias that just do simple meat/onions/cilantro are the exception, though.

The ONLY reason I could support someone for going to Chipotle on that street instead of Baja's is because it's a SUPER narrow restaurant. Like, the length of a small hallway. Otherwise there's really no excuse, because they also make white people burritos. edit- There's also a Guatemalan place near me that has AMAZING fresh-made corn tortilla tacos.

Seriously. Sometimes the best places are the dirty hole in the wall places in a ghetto where you are likely to be shot dead. The danger adds a zest of flavor to the food and life other places don't have.

The Orange Chicken is like their only decent thing though. The Teriyaki chicken is okay I guess but their fried rice is so god drat bland that I can't eat it if they forget my soy sauce packets, which they do about half of the times I go. e: don't go to a Chinese place if the name of the place isn't two nonsense words, which may include "happy" and "China"

That said, the best Mexican I ever ate was at a hole in the wall behind a self storage place I was working at that one of the guys I worked with told me about, that made some loving amazing cow tongue tacos.
