Its creation in 2013 is fine with me, considering Vince McMahon did not actually cartoonishly flip out in a Monday Night Raw ring over Gary Strydom's WBF posedown (though to be fair he did on commentary). It's more about content generated by the IWC at the time rather than what happened in specific wrestleman events. If I made a hilarious meme about the Hindenburg disaster that went viral today, it would be more associated with 2014 than 1937.

The level of effort and execution definitely mitigates a ton. It's not like it was just the Vince part or the Strydom part.

Drop The Bass edged out Kota Ibushi's murder move but otherwise had no real issue getting to where it needed to be. After edging out a Jeff Hardy botch, Earth Shattering Superman punched Tito Ortiz out of the tournament, putting to bed the first one seed. A couple of vanilla midgets beat out HHH and Daniel Bryan. Who would have guessed it? The lowest seed to advance in the tournament thus far, our George Mason, our Villanova, our Dayton, goes up against a meme that shares a name with a probate-able PSP catch phrase. Can a fun spot in a bingo hall beat out an effort gif making light of the murder of a woman and child? This is a real thing I just typed.
