Just level one or two to unlock the small number of higher tier troops that you need. e.g. I only have 2 capable of dragons, and one that can do PEKKAs, and that works for what I build.

Useful for when you're not going to play overnight or something too. If you have a full army your can queue like 20 wallbreakers in each barracks that wont get built, but it spends the elixir. Then if you're attacked they can't steal it. Just need to remember to cancel the queue when you go attack or donate ;]

You are watching someone play clash of clans in an android emulator with a mouse click macro that spams mouse down + mouse up rapidly. It's not exactly cheating but you can't single finger deploy that fast on devices (correct me if someone is a tapping autist). You can however multi finger deploy as fast or faster with two or three deployment points while swiping. It's sort of exploiting but doesn't bring much benefit you couldn't obtain already.

I do multi finger a lot (lol), but you need to be careful if you have multi-touch gestures enabled on your iPad. I've lost WARS because I accidentally switched apps and deployed one giant or something against a whole base only to come back to the loading screen.

Do you want 1 or 2 fingers in your deployment?  It's a little faster than 2 touch, btw. I don't think it has much practical purpose, I just thought it looked funny.

I have 800k elixir and am TH7. I've upgraded Barbs and Giants to rank 4. Should I upgrade Archers to level 4, my 4th camp to 6, or spell factory to 3. I have not unlocked Dragons yet either so that's a possibility.

I would do archers --> spell factory --> camp --> dragons The rage spell is pretty sweet though, so you may want to do the spell factory first.

I was just booted from the Spergs of War clan and am wondering why. Is it still a good idea to use your war attacks even if the only bases left are ones that you wouldn't stand a chance against? I'm sure I did something wrong, but don't know what. I'm also TH6 (with the recommended base build in the OP) and was donating 3 star archers.

Samsung make it very easy to do through Kies (their desktop software) that apes iTunes for trying to make it as one-click as possible. On the handset you can also set it to backup to Google. Settings > Backup & Restore > check the box. There's an option there to auto-restore app data on reinstallation, which will be useful for you going forward. That said if you've never done any of this, you will be SOL, as Supercell's turn around time on these requests is months to never/polite reply as to why they can't help. Treat it as a learning exercise that you will inevitably get data on your smartphone you don't want to lose, and make some form of backup. e: AFAIK you can only link one village to one G+ account so you would need to make a new one if you got access to a backup.
