My partner has recently gotten into wrestling. She watches the monthly WWE PPVs, the occasional episode of Raw or Smackdown, some NXT, as well as just about any older stuff I put on through the Network or YouTube. She especially enjoys really awful or baffling poo poo from years past. She couldn't make it past the second match of New Blood Rising.

Shifting gears from New Blood Rising, what are you guys' thoughts on Austin/Angle from Summerslam '01? Because I just watched it on the Network for the first time, and if it weren't for that astonishingly lovely finish, I'd have thought it as one of the best WWE matches I've ever seen.

What exactly was the set up for that Jung Dragons 3count match anyway? Like, what was the storyline going into that? It was for a recording contact our something?

No it was for their current recording contract. The stakes don't really matter anyway because 3 Count leaves with both items despite only having retrieved one of them and it's never really explained what it takes to win the match, just that the match ends when both items have been retrieved.

The Heatseekers episode of Legends is pretty great. There's a lot of bitching about people, with Hayes namechecking Hall, Nash and Hogan as people who turned Goldberg into a bit of a dick, even though they all agree that outside of the business he's a really nice guy.

Look, I think we need to organize a New Blood Rising group-watch via the Network. It's just too horrible to bear alone. It should be at a time when people are comfortable drinking. I'm pretty sure even I fell asleep during it while I was trying to do my WCW Death Tour.

Remember when the Undertaker randomly had a match against Festus on Smackdown and it was actually a really good match? I was just watching an old PPV and there was a quick clip of it in a match promo. Now I really want to see that match again, because as you all know, I love big corn fed colossi. Put it on the network, Vince. I will pay for another 6 months if you do.

Most talking head segments for nearly any show will be rehearsed, because often times the person speaking needs to be prompted as to what they're talking about (They don't actually watch the episode, since is hasn't been produced yet at that point), and they have to say their statement in such a way that it tells the viewer what they're talking about (As well as the sound guys so they can do their cutting, since any given sentence could be cut anywhere into an episode from what is typically a single session of recording the talking head speaking), and to ensure the shot isn't ruined by laughing, or a sudden crew problem happening, or stuttering, or background sounds ruining the shot, or showing/speaking with the wrong emotion for the situation, whatever. You don't want to know how much time it can actually take to get just one line right with some people. It's usually safe to assume that any given sentence from a talking head was said at least once or twice before the take you see in an finished episode of literally any show.

I don't remember anything about the tag team match other than the sound of Konnan saying I/we got it like that about 400 times. This means I must have started slipping during the Judy Bagwell on a forklift match, which is as expected.
