davebo posted:Saw that earlier today and my favorite bit was definitely Kristen Schaal in the elevator. She just seems to pop up in everything these days, which is great. I was hoping the album might show up a day early from amazon but no luck, but at least it won't be long now. I saw the tracklist a while back and I saw "Handy" which I assumed was going to be a parody of Happy, but since it's Tacky I'm guessing it'll be a parody of Fancy? I loved the video (especially Jack Black's outfit, good lord)... but I felt like Schaal's appearance was a wasted opportunity .

Greyish Orange posted:Weird Al is a guilty pleasure of mine. Weird Al is no guilty pleasure. A guilty pleasure is something you know is terrible but can't help but like anyway. Weird Al is legitimately good, he's just not something you can ever bring up in most social circles without feeling slightly embarrassed because he's goofy and cheesy and silly. I only feel compelled to make the distinction because by all accounts Weird Al is amazing live, is a really great guy to everyone, and I know he is genuinely talented as all gently caress when it comes to style parodies, and deserves all the respect he can get.

I did something! I entered NBC's verbal open pitch contest and they needed sample material not related to the actual pitch so I put together a short skit show and then I put it up for anyone to watch on the youtubes. The production is about as amateur as you can get because of the poor factor, but we had enough fun that we are going to make a second episode. I'm the one that looks like a fat goon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJWelzL2nM0
