50 Shades of Grey (1986), starring Brian Cox as Grey and Jenette Goldstein as not-Bella, directed by Michael Mann, score by Tangerine Dream, cinematography by Deakins.

Slice of life: guess whose debit card got stolen by a trucker who proceeded to buy 200 bucks worth of gas using my paycheck! Fortunately Bank of America is letting me do hell of chargebacks, but I have a feeling I'm banned from a lot of Illinois truck stops. (Not that it matters, since I live in Texas.) Also, Rageaholic, anything interesting going on in NOLA this weekend? I'm taking a trip down there tomorrow night through Tuesday morning and neither I nor SALT CURES VAG know enough about the lay of the land to plan anything.

Slice of life: The Ohio State University band director was fired today for allowing hazing and sexual harassment on a ludicrous scale. In the footnotes to the case is the tale of a girl who was sexually assaulted (the note says "harassed" but that's just because she didn't press charged) and then, when she reported it, he tried to remove her from the band. This violated various title 9 codes and could have led to legal action. That girl is my oldest niece. gently caress that guy. I hope he never works again. I'm so glad she gets some vindication. She was calling to poetic justice today and I couldn't be prouder of her.

There was more space footage, but they're still trying to keep stuff under wraps, we saw a trailer that's gonna premiere in a few months, nothing more.
