Hi, I saw some Project Pitchfork videos on Youtube and am interested in listening to one of their albums, but since their discography is so huge I don't know where to start. Any recommendations from Project Pitchfork experts here?

Daimonion was my favorite. I've not kept up on them in a while though.

Start with Daimonion, try IO or Alpha Omega (or Corps d'Amour, why not) to get a feel for the earlier sound, then Continuum Ride or BLACK to see what the band currently sounds like... For now. The band has a tendency to change all the time and it looks like the new album that's coming out next month will be something new again and a sidestep from the trajectory the band has been on for the last couple of albums. Anyway, I love them all!

Daimonion is popular because it has Timekiller on it, as big a hit as this genre ever sees.

I'd recommend Eon:Eon just prior as a more cohesive and solid synthpop album.

Daimonion is popular because it's a loving amazing album that is a masterpiece in terms of both songwriting and production.

teethgrinder and I will fight about this for all eternity, but in my opinion Eon:Eon is a rather weak album (by this band's standards) but its singles are some of the most killer tracks ever by PP and definitely worth checking out. Although you might've done that already if you've been watching the music videos

Gothsicles have a Kickstarter up for Squid Icarus. They only asked $2K and got it in under a day. $10 for the digital download, $25 for signed CD, plus some interesting extras including the outfit worn on the cover.

As long as the times refuse to change, we're going to make a hell of a racket.
Industrial music seemed to get hit particularly bad, though. Cleopatra, Invisible, TVT... I can't really think of any more. I wish someone would buy the Cleopatra catalogue and put it on iTunes or something.

The Taurus didn't offer much for drivers craving the sport sedan experience. That changed with the 1989 debut of the Ford Taurus SHO (for Super High Output), a Q-ship of the finest order that offered up a high-revving Yamaha-designed V-6 engine and a tight sport suspension.
Then this happened

Holy lol Texas Industrial Fest got cancelled again. Which makes it the second or third time that's happened in a row?

quote:

Saturday's show has been cancelled by Scoot Inn. There was a couple violent outbursts and not enough attendance. I spoke to management several times to see if we could work something out. They just don't want to deal with another night. I've tried a couple other venues, and did not get any cooperation.
Violent outbursts? I should've gone the first night. Now the remaining bands are headed over to Elysium, which is actually well-managed.

Edit:

It brings to mind hocico, suicide commando, agonoize and wumpscut(stick to the earlier stuff, his later albums are pretty dire). You could probably just look for anything that describes itself as harsh or terror EBM as well.

So they managed to make even worse poo poo than hyperreal/whatever the previous record was.

Yes. They had a minor club hit on the end of Hyperreal so they just copied that song a bunch of times on the new disc.

ATR. ATR never changes.

This could be pretty much from any point in the last two decades.

Has there ever been an actually good-looking CGI music video? I mean that Click Click video looks "alright-ish", but it's still kind of crappy. Track owns though, I guess I'll need to look into Click Click.

I mean I can only think of hilariously terrible ones

It's a genre/style that's generally pretty awful, probably because it's really expensive to do well.
