I would not be surprised to learn that Valve ups the percentages for any title with a Linux port, even for non-Linux sales.

So is repartitioning a drive and dual booting without wiping out my data, and later undoing both, without $100 software a thing I can do in TYOOL 2014

my gaming rig consists of a Windows 7 PC that I set steam to boot directly into big picture mode and plugged an Xbox controller into and literally never janitor.

also I have empirically determined that the best linux dev environment is Debian stable with mate from backports. u can thank me later.

The money is probably in OSX for gamers investing in VMware and Parallels and Linux gains as a side effect.

As ooboontu desktops are 3D accelerated Parallels have done the absolute minimum to get it working, pretty much no other distribution or even Gnome 3 plain desktops work.

if it is the same issue I am thinking of, i.e. having to download xcode to get the gcc compiler just to use the makefile utility, then it is pretty annoying and why wouldn't you include it by default with the OS? not unusable just dumb
