I think someone can still invite from within the clan. Re:mantis bases. It is pretty amusing, I see TH7 mantis variants pretty commonly while barching. Maybe 1 every 50 nexts. I saw one th7 mantis from a clan with Goon in the name, but it wasn't one listed in the OP so I attacked and stole the loot  Didn't realize that it is becoming that popular. I switched to a base proposed by clumsytheif for farming and it has been pretty effective at dissuading attacks, but still use mantis for clan wars. I still have not found a th7 base that can prevent a th7 dragon attack from 3 starring it and I am not sure it is possible. I know TH7 mantis just falls over to 2* star dragons.

I got 3-starred with a very nearly maxed Tempest TH8 in our last war, by a TH9 using gowipe  Been 3-starred by l4 hogs too but you'd expect that...

I saw a base with 250k gold/elixer but all his collectors were in the center and all his storages were on the outside. I guess the player knew they were going to be inactive for a while and decided to flip their poo poo while they had nothing in the storages. Still won't disuade many attackers, but they may still have something left to spend when they come back to the game.

TH8 "The poo poo Twister" (Good for Clan Wars? Yes | Good for Farming? No)  This base will poo poo on dragons. TH8s will have trouble getting 2* on this, I've never seen this one give up 3* to a TH8 dragon attack. Level 5+ ADs are definitely needed if you want to prevent giving up stars. It has an anti-hog and anti-balloon ring, meaning that the hogs will travel around your core, eventually hitting the double bomb spot. Do move those double giant bombs around if more than 1 person in your clan uses this base. It cannot be pulled by giants/hogs/balloons. The outer defensive structures have to be destroyed before they start pulling, so sending in 2-3 giants/hogs/balloons won't be enough.

With the corner buildings gone the dragons have a nice path to the core, where a well placed rage spell will clear it out, letting the survivors lazily clean out the rest of the base. Multiple TH9s tried it and barely got it because of the extra dragon, spell and Archer Queen. Drawing a line of dragons doesn't work, as they won't go into the core, not all of them. E: It depends on your AD level. With L5 ADs TH8s were able to 3* me (but very rarely), this stopped happening when they all went to 6.

If the guy who made it wanted it to be public, he would've put it on a wiki or something instead of making it the OP of a thread behind a paywall.
