Use blue mana die to play Stamina (powered) for 4 movement and Swiftness (unpowered) for a total of 6 movement to assault the mage tower. To block, crack a red crystal to use the Red Monks for 4 fire block, then use the Utem Crossbowmen for 3 block and Rage (unpowered) for 2 more block, then attack by flipping Battle Frenzy for +4 and use Concentrate (sideways) for the extra 1 attack.

Take Underground Travel for the spell.

EDIT: I still need the green mana die for Underground Travel :v:

To go quickly is foolish. To go slowly is prudent. Not to go; that is wisdom.
I don't particularly like my hand. Ask the peasant for help in gathering supplies by repeatedly bonking them on the head until they cooperate.

I believe the curse of vlaada struck again here and fire block is ineffective against fire attacks.

Alright then, eat the wound, placing one on the monks (I shouldn't get any on-hand since the monks have fire resistance), then attack using Battle Frenzy and Rage (unpowered) to kill the mages.

And I think that brings the total of "players who are yet to gently caress up a rule" down to 1 counting both threads. :v:

To be fair, it's the most unintuitive thing in the game.

It's definitely the absolute number one forgotten rule of Mage Knight.

Krang's fire monks resist the first five points of fire damage, then take a wound.
Krang has a spell to pick up.

Tovak's topmost CO goes off.

Volkare draws a wound, and rolls a gold. Baaahh.

Arythea's Turn

Volkare - 23 deck. 4 city, 5 keep, 8 dragons, 8 orcs.
Arythea (Fat Samurai) - 7 hand, 10 deck.
Wolfhawk (Bubble-T) - 5 hand, 16 deck.
Krang (Tekopo) - 2/5 hand, 15 deck, spell choice.
Tovak (Gutter Owl) - 7 hand, 10 deck.

Christ, there's just nothing to kill on this map. Arythea and Wolfhawk have dibs on the two keeps, Krang's got dibs on the maze. Time to go blundering into the wilderness again.

Stelas

Fixed those two hands.

Yeah, Volkare's lack of movement has pretty much let you suck these tiles dry. At least there's lots of core tiles yet to go!

Arythea's Turn

Volkare - 23 deck. 4 city, 5 keep, 8 dragons, 8 orcs.
Arythea (Fat Samurai) - 7 hand, 10 deck.
Wolfhawk (Bubble-T) - 5 hand, 16 deck.
Krang (Tekopo) - 5 hand, 13 deck, spell choice.
Tovak (Gutter Owl) - 7 hand, 9 deck.

 Deck, I know there are some movement cards inside you. I've seen them. I put a really good one in there for you. Work with me.

CO for next turn: Play Charm and Rage sideways for Move 2. Move onto the village under Arythea (assuming she's moved). End turn, pillage again.

I feel really bad for sniping those orcs last turn :(

Anyway, play Mana Pull and Powered Stamina to move into the forest. I'll probably play switness to assault it, but I want to know what's there first.

Stelas

The answer is to go wait by the maze and take whatever those two don't.

Fat Samurai posted:

It's daytime. You're overshooting a little. (Unless you want to save the move points I guess.)

Well, the idea is to use swiftness (+2 move to move) plus the 4 from Stamina to move into the fortress (6 total). AFAIK the token reveal from the tower shouldn't interrupt me or prevent me from saving the extra 1 point from stamina to use it on the move to the tower.

Edit: ok, maybe keeping Mana Pull in reserve would have been a better idea in case I decide not to assault the tower, but I'm on the phone in a train station and not paying as much attention as I should.

Somehow anticlimactic. Quick expansion note: those are heroes, so killing them will drop your reputation.

Arythea's Turn

Volkare - 23 deck. 4 city, 5 keep, 8 dragons, 8 orcs.
Arythea (Fat Samurai) - 6 hand, 10 deck, 1 move spare.
Wolfhawk (Bubble-T) - 5 hand, 16 deck.
Krang (Tekopo) - 5 hand, 13 deck, spell choice.
Tovak (Gutter Owl) - 7 hand, 9 deck.

Now, if y'all would be kind enough to leave me the Song of Wind to pair with Mist Form, I could go clean that out.

No problem, I haven't run a multiplayer game like this so I'm not sure what can go wrong.

Edit: on the off chance anyone is taking advanced actions before my turn I'd appreciate it if Mountain Lore is left in the offer so I can throw out Tranquility for it.

Arythea's CO

Then Power up Cristalization with a black or blue mana from the Source for a Red Crystal.

Stelas

Krang gets moving.

Tovak executes his CO and squirms a little further north.

Volkare draws a white.

Arythea executes her CO. There's more blue in the source than anything else, so let's go with that. It rolls back to blue, in any case.

Wolfhawk's Turn

Volkare - 22 deck. 4 city, 5 keep, 8 dragons, 8 orcs.
Arythea (Fat Samurai) - 6 hand, 3 deck.
Wolfhawk (Bubble-T) - 7 hand, 7 deck.
