Holy crap, a whole bunch of Power rangers just appeared on Netflix (in Canada at least, I dunno about US). Watching the first episode for a huge nostalgia burst.

Watching as an adult, it really is terrible though, the acting is just awful and the segments with Rita are so obviously dubbed, it's hilarious.

The music is rockin' though.

Can't enjoy power rangers since I found out that Haim Saban bullied the blue ranger every day for being gay and encouraged the crew to do the same, eventually causing him to quit the show.

In my dreams the team comes together to karate chop that fat gently caress for homophobia, saving Billy and teaching him that it's ok to be gay.

Haim Saban is a war monger that wants Iran to be bombed back into the stone age and probably eats Palestinian children for dinner.

Is anybody else watching season 3 of The Newsroom? It's still pretty bad, though the awful romance elements have been aggressively toned down. The Internet remains evil.

I really enjoyed it because of the lack of romance bullshit

It's still a bad show - the basic premise of creating a noble news agency is laughably misguided and unappealing - but, yeah, this was an okay start to the season.

Your mother!

Apropos of nothing, I was listening to Rob Paulsen's podcast last night when I suddenly realized that his voice for Pinky is eerily similar to how David Tennant sounds as Doctor Who's Tenth Doctor.

I'm now incredibly disappointed that I'll never hear the Doctor shriek "narf!"

Umm... I'm pretty sure they sound nothing alike, aside from Pinky's vaguely british-ish accent.

yer, not even a little bit close.
Tennant just looked like he was eating a invisible apple while doing it.

Pinky's defining englishism is the Rhotacism.

I'm not seeing it either but the mental image of Tennant doing one of his "I'm so so so sorry" lines punctuated by NARF kind of works.

gently caress yes, Evil Dead: The Series. I was actually watching the last 20 minutes of the 2013 remake last night and was wondering if there was anything going on in regards to the sequel to that and the proposed movie that would tie both universes together. This is amazing, I hope it's good. Also awesome that Bruce Campbell is going to be starring in a series in loving 2015.

I want to believe if it's something that got Bruce back in the saddle for Ash, it will be something amazing.

The only real doubt I have is can a 56 year old Bruce Campbell really do all the physical work anymore?

It sounds like a sequel to the remake is still in the works, though I'd wait and see how staffing on this show shakes out. The plan was supposed to be "Army of Darkness 2, Evil Dead 2, then a film that teams up Ash and Mia." Now that there's a series, Raimi might just bring in Fede Alvarez and they might just merge the stories right there.

BTW: The current best show that you guys are probably not watching is Sonic Highways. Fantastic documentary series.

Working that Sopranos joke a little too hard there, bro. Maybe throw in a Big Bong Theory, Big Band Theory, Bad Bond Theory or a Bored Bland Theory next time.

Shame about Howard's mother, though. She was only 62.

How on earth did Franklin and Bash make it to 4 seasons? I feel like they pushed it hard before the first season then I never heard a thing about it again. I actually thought the one or two promos I saw for it over the summer were for the 2nd season.
