Sorry to take away from the tragedy, but I want someone to explain something to me about changetip. When they say it's "integrated" with something, it's really just that changetip makes an api call on reddit or twitter or whatever to search for posts/tweets/whatever invoking it, right? So if tipping was supposed to take off the way people have been going on about it, with a million people tipping one person, would that not basically spam the poo poo out of whatever service is being used and basically be a DDOS attack? Have they addressed the fact at all that if tipping ever catches on it will either be throttled by some minimum time limit between calls or by banning changetip altogether once it becomes a huge nuisance?
