Lipstick Apathy

Yeah there are always gonna be exceptions. Patrick Sharp's entire career arc is kind of weird. Guy wasn't even PPG in the ahl at 23, scores a couple points off that at 29 in the NHL.

Please tell me you don't actually believe this. Other than the time he scored ten goals for an utterly dismal Flames team he hasn't been a positive contributor to any hockey club in his career.

Also, I hope John Scott gets suspended so McLellan can't play him, because he'll continue to do so sometimes otherwise.

Our fourth line is pretty solid and he's always on that line.

E: he's playing as good as can be expected from Tim Jackman.

I hope we don't make a panic trade. We're still first in p% in the NHL, we're still leading our conference, and we're 2nd in the league by 2 points with 3 games in hand. We're doing fine and there's no need to make a panic trade due to injuries less than half way through the season. A winger to slot in the top 6 would be nice, but it's not worth selling the farm over.

Agreed. Considering the Pens' record so far I honestly kind of wonder if we even need to make a trade as opposed to just waiting out injuries. I think a lot of random internet people's "Paul Martin and random young d-man not named Pouliot or Maatta for Top Six Winger" fantasies are kind of pie in the sky anyway.
