Yeah, I'm unemployed. I have plenty of time to post. Don't take that as suspicious, I do it in the main thread too. I shouldn't be taken to the noose for posting in my defence when I have the time to do so. There are plenty of silent people here who probably won't post until tomorrow or later. More suspicious mistakes happened on day one please don't make a volcano out of an ant mound, I'm just a new player who was overeager to play detective.

Mills was wrong about Auspol games, it's not that our players don't listen to arguments, it's that regardless of whether they listen or not, at least half the people at any given time are off getting drunk.

Now granted, this is New Year's Eve, but it is also true on not-New-Year's-Eve. :eng101:

We lost because of that I think.

Haha yeah, I remember that one, our town was going to be so incredibly hosed but then the scum just couldn't be bothered to show up. We got so paranoid about what the gently caress could be going on that we shot our doctor in the head.

I remember that one game that was me and a few others on the team, with me as godfather, and we purposefully did not nightkill anyone until the first mafia was killed during the day.

People were going loving insane trying to figure out what was going on, and the scumdoc was great.

The finale of that was top too, I lasted until the end and got outplayed by the busdriver because I kept putting him off as "not a threat"

until he bussed someone on the last day, and used the logic to point out that logically, only I could have been the killer. If he hadn't have bussed, I'd have won.

was a damned good game.

I am thankful that I haven't had to play a game that involves bus drivers. I remember seeing everyone complaining about them when I was first looking into Mafia, but then everyone kept talking about "bussing" people when there weren't bus drivers, and I got confused.

Toot toot

A bus driver basically swaps targets

IE, If I am scum, and I choose to murder you, in particular, Anidav on night 1 - it is possible for that kill not to go ahead, because the bus driver, drops me off at someone elses house.

How that works is that anyone who targets you, is instead diverted to another target of the bus drivers choosing.

Ongoing joke - a death miller is someone who's alignment flips as scum when killed - despite being town. A reverse death miller is scum who flips town.

One of our early games, I was convinced, I think, sweeroy and milky(?) were scum because they were voting together, and kept getting townies killed over and over again. They went hard on someone on plott who was a mason with me, bj, and a few others.

They pushed really damned hard and I was getting really really pissed off about it (this was right when the trial was happening, so my stress levels were through the roof already)

Anyway, they got plott killed, and immediately it was like "OH NO, HOW COULD THIS HAVE HAPPENED" and immediately they started posting about how he must have been a reverse death miller, which just made me even more positive they were scum.

Turns out they were town too, except they siblings, so if one died, the other did too.

I think scum won that game.

After dinner the congregation meets out near the swimming pool, still a little shocked by the death of Fruity, the conversation lifts and Anidav is shoved around.

But ultimately nothing comes of it, apathy reigns and the group disperses, some to have a swim, some to go attend to their various blogs and online commitments.

The tension ebbs and another night passes without lynch.

Day 2 finished.

Night actions get happening.

Day 3 of the conference dawns and the attendees come down for breakfast. Some have an early morning swim as the temperature climbs. Late start today, and people are discussing notes over breakfast and chatting about euthenasia and single origin coffee beans. Pancakes are consumed and the mood is lively. Everyone is psyched to hear from some Beaurau of Meterology people on Climate change today.

All except Mills.

The room hushes as Scott Ludlum notes the missing member. A congregation of people follow Scott up to mills room. A red flag is blutacked to his locked door.
The hotel concierge is called up and produces a key. Some SA pamphlets are stuffed under the door.
Opening the door the room is filled with steam and the shower is running.
"Mills?!" Ludlum calls out.

Cautiously the group explores the room and enters the bathroom.

Mills is discovered in the shower, white, naked and lifeless. His left leg is gruesomely mangled midway across the calf where he has stepped into a bear trap. His arteries severed and he bled out down the drain.

Someone vomits.

"The old beartrap in the shower trick. Gets them every time..." Scott quotes quietly.

The twitterverse is lighting up, Two dead at Young Greens Convention #omg #news #yolo
