Double down and move to Australia. At least then if things get worse you just have to walk outside to end everything! Although the jump from the -"whatever-the-gently caress-that's-too-cold" in Seattle to the +40c would probably kill you. Theres still big money to be had in the oil and mining games for mechanics too, mates dad is a mechanic/fabricator, works for Santos out of Moomba (Bum gently caress nowhere in South Australia but at least unlike alaska the sun shines there!) doing 2 on 2 off FIFO and makes about $130K a year doing so.

Don't move to Michigan, you'll freeze your 13" dick off. At least there are cool cars all over the place with the great combination of the worst loving roads in the country. But seriously that sucks about the job, I'm sure you'll land on your feet.

I actually made the same hours today as my old shop with about a quarter of the rush and zero chaos and the shop is actually clean. Its definitely a much, much slower shop but considering I was already repeatedly hitting my 30 hour guarantee I'll gladly take the breather. Oh, also its funny watching all the hookers walking by. No, seriously.

If you actually want a change of scenery/to never see an intact floorboard more than 15 years old again I can probably give you a spot to stay for a while in a couple months. I'd offer sooner but the house is NOT really livable at the moment.

Combined Kastein/13" goonden thread would be amazing. Ken 'accidentally' concretes the Civic as a structural component into his goonden while 13" smokes weird bits of Jeep he finds in the bathroom. In all seriousness, 13", I really hope poo poo looks up for you sooner rather than later.
