I always thought of Setzer in KH as being a younger and hence more immature version of himself from VIII. Combined with the general atmosphere of KH in general, I thought it was fine.

Did you know that the cards used by the generic Gambler nobodies have on them images of the five Organization XIII members who died in Chain of Memories? I noticed that for the first time while leveling Master Form earlier.

Apparently refighting all the Organization was in the original plans of KH2 (or at least an area like the Garden of Assemblage), they just didn't finish them in time I heard.

KH2 in general seems to have been rushed to production. Other things that come to mind include the lack of a Roxas boss fight and everything about Pride Lands

The plot is standard KH2 fare, and the world isn't actually that big though? It's big in surface area but look how fast you loving run. Also the Scar boss fight is cool. It seems like any other world in KH2 to me. Very few of the worlds have anything resembling interesting geography.

Lion Sora is bad, I thought was the main criticism. You have no defensive options whatsoever as Lion Sora except reflect with shorter invincibility frames. If you're playing at a high level you are going to repeatedly die to stupid poo poo that you could've avoided if you weren't a lion.

It's the Atlantica of KH2. It's not rushed, it's just a lovely, gimmicky stage rolled in with a lot of the game's most unfun enemies and bosses.

Yeah, Groundshaker's a pretty bad boss fight. Like I can't think about any part of that fight that is fun from the camera being absolute poo poo, to the tedious cycle you have to go through to get to the shaman, to the fact that the shaman just turns invincible for a long time and will do it often after you get him low on health. Especially on critical where anything the shaman does is basically your death.

Incidentally this means that Scar is one of three people in the series who kept their sense of self aftet becoming a Heartless. The other two being Xehanort and Sora.

I had to grind a little bit for like the first boss of each person's story but it otherwise worked out well. Also you get two extra command slots and I love having that.

The game never really explains it but this makes the most sense.

The KH1FM secret boss talks about how Sora is incomplete. Kairi just took away the Heartless bits I guess? "Hearts are tough" is usually the explanation for any heart related twist.
