Brodinski released his album, Brava. Brodinski is a French techno producer who produced part of Yeezus. He is good. I was going to write words to explain why but I'll just let his music and mixes explain that for me. He loves Houston and has traveled there while making this album.

A very good rap mix he did: https://soundcloud.com/ninalasvegas/brodinski-triple-j-mix-up-exclusives-with-nina-las-vegas

Brava Tracklist:
1. Can't Help Myself Feat. SD
2. Calculator Feat. Chill Will
3. Bury Feat. Maluca & MPA Shitro
4. François-Xavier Feat. Young Scooter
5. Warm Up Feat. Slim Thug
6. Need For Speed Feat. Louisahhh & Bloody Jay
7. Interviews Feat. Makonnen & Yung Gleesh
8. Hector Feat. MPA Shitro
9. Follow Me Pt. 1 Feat. Georgi Kay & Bloody Jay
10. Cheddah Feat. Peewee Longway
11. 53 Bandz Feat. 2$ Fabo & Phlo Finister
12. Follow Me Pt. 2 Feat. Chill Will
13. Us Feat. Bloody Jay
Bonus: All On Me Feat. MPA Shitro

This will in my opinion be the most influential rap release this year.
I been in Twitter trying to get him and Sean Paine to do the French free gucci 3. He's the only guy I can think of who has the ear for that kind of material. Even a-trak isn't as good. I'm using the #freegucci3 tag plz join the movement

Album is called Today, I wrote Nothing, and will feature production from Blockhead and Willie Green among others.

Blah blah gently caress noisey and vice whatever but I'm really pretty disappointed in what they've done with this series as a whole. They get alllllll these rappers from unquestionably the hottest area in the country right now.....and that's it? Thug didn't even talk. RHQ talked the most but was probably on camera for 3 total minutes. Bankroll Fresh too. I'd love to hear more from Trinadad James, dude went from a nobody to pretty popular to a nobody, and you just talk to him for 2 minutes? This whole thing seems so rushed. What a wasted potential.

Vice does interesting documentaries but from such a skewed perspective. Selling crack to your own community shouldn't be anyone's answer to class mobility but vice glorifies it in every episode.

The problem with all the vice/noisey stuff is that they come off as the most insufferable, patronizing dudes in all their videos. And since they often seem to want to cover a lot of "marginalized" subjects, it's just horrible. It's always like they're dudes visiting a zoo or a freak show or whatever and they have no empathy or identification with whatever they're trying to cover.

Also it's kinda telling they have loving Makkonen a full episode to talk about the moon and whatever garbage music he's making, but they crammed 4 dudes who actually matter in rap into one episode. I'll even give a pass on Thug not saying much because dude always seems to say next to nothing in any sort of interviews so that's kinda par for the course. Although maybe he would've said more if they wouldn't have sent Andy Dick to interview him but w/e, I guess that's supposed to be more "ironic" or whatever.

edit-although i probably would've cut it short too after hearing someone admit to watching bojack horseman, that show is pure garbage

heems and kool ad solo stuff is way better than anything they did in das racist for that very reason-the jokey crap never seemed to work to me, at least as anything i actually wanted to listen to. heems first two "mixtapes" (they were essentially albums) were both really good imo.

why am I excited for a dipomats reunion in 2015

I mean Cam can do whatever he wants and I'll listen to it. For some reason I still believe that Juelz can still manage to be A Good Rapper. Jim Jones is still a laughingstock but it seems like he got rid of the Under Armor. Freaky is a non-factor. I don't get it.

I think we've all been excited for the Dipset reunion for like 4 years now but at this point I'll believe the album is happening when I'm listening to it and not a moment before.
