My favorite part is when all the shittiest posters come into this thread and go "dont bet on a mma" :iamafag: when someone is wrong about a prediction I dont mind being wrong on that fight, i think it was bendos best performance ever and it was cool to watch him not to go a tepid split decision for once. I didnt lose money on it because my book had thatch at like -180 which i think was lovely value, but my friend lost 200 bucks because he got thatch at like -120 (still a fine bet imo even having seen the fight)

I don't believe you gave it a manyak lock of the night, which you are 100% on so far (boetsch over okami, weidman over silva 2, maybe others) so it's good.

Overeem is good at all aspects of MMA except for not getting hit and dying, Nelson is only good at landing that right hand and submission defense (allegedly a decent top game but it's never been seen in the UFC). If Overeem isn't really stupid, this is an extremely winnable fight for him, but -260 is pretty long odds on Alistair Overeem not being really stupid.

I'd feel a lot better about Overeem if Nelson wasn't coming off of a KO loss. I fear the prospect of Overeem watching that and thinking "Hey I could do that".

Overeem looked strong on top vs Mir and Struve. I rather doubt Nelson has a better ground game than Mir, but he might have better takedown defense. If Overeem is smart he'll get it to the floor ASAP. "If Overeem is smart" is the reason why I'm skeptical of him being a 2-to-1 favorite. Plus I don't know how much you can hold Got Knocked Out By Mark Hunt against someone's chin.

I have an ongoing parlay consisting of Martins/Alvey/Michael Johnson/Mir/Nelson at +42686, and for some reason I never even entertained the possibility that something other than Overeem screwing up and getting KO'ed could happen.  Also, the odds for Velasquez/Werdum ending via TKO/KO/DQ are +800 at the betting site I use. I don't know much about betting, but that can't be right, can it? Seems like a pretty worthwhile gamble to me.
